Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet are scrubbing into one NBC‘s biggest medical dramas.
DECIDER can confirm that the two actors are the latest addition to Chicago Med‘s Season 10 cast, both of whom will be taking on series regular roles.
Variety reported the news yesterday. According to the outlet, Ramos will portray Dr. Caitlin Lenox, while Barnet will portray Dr. John Frost. No further details about their characters were disclosed in the report.
The rest of the One Chicago universe recieved exciting casting announcements in recent weeks, too. Chicago Fire bumped Jocelyn Hudon‘s Lyla Novak up to a series regular role in the show’s upcoming Season 13, while Chicago P.D. is welcoming Toya Turner to its Season 12 cast as police officer Kiana Cook.
Ramos took to her Instagram story to share the news on Monday (August 5), while Barnet shared an Instagram post that same day saying, in part, that he’s “beyond thrilled” to join the cast as Dr. John Frost.
“Also very excited to wear scrubs to work everyday,” he added. “They are quite comfy. Let’s do this Chi-Town. Send recommendations. Please and thanks.”
As for Ramos, the Parenthood alum could recently be seen in The Bear, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, and Christmas in Notting Hill. Barnet most recently lent his voice to Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. His other recent credits include Road House, Anyone But You, Gran Turismo, and Never Have I Ever.
Season 9 of Chicago Med concluded in May. Previous seasons are available to stream on Peacock.
