Chicago Med season 10 episode 3 synopsis
“Hannah treats a woman whose undiagnosed condition threatens the lives of both her and her unborn child. Goodwin receives a chilling message while battling the hospital higher-ups.”
Needless to say, it’s going to be a busy episode for Hanah in particular. The synopsis for the episode teases that she’s going to have a tough case on her hands this week, but we also know she’s going to have some fallout coming her way after the events of the previous episode in which she went around Ripley and told Sully just how serious things were becoming with the situation involving Pawel.
Last week, Ripley decided not to tell Sully that he was possibly going to lose his medical license by not releasing a statement to the medical board about Sully’s involvement in the assault. As the episode neared its end, Ripley went to turn himself in to the police to protect Sully, who had found out his cancer was terminal and he only had weeks to live, and was shocked when he discovered Sully had already turned himself in to the police.
It didn’t take much for Ripley to realize that Hannah must had spoken to Sully and he raced over to confront her as the episode came to an end. While Hannah was clearly looking out for Ripley’s best interests, it’s clear he sees this as an overstep and it’s going to be interesting to see how he handles the fallout that comes from her actions.
Chicago Med season 10 episode 3 promo
As the promo hints, Gaffney Chicago Medical Center’s ED is barely keeping afloat with the new influx of patients caused by the closure of the nearby hospital earlier this season. In the opening moment of the promo, we hear Maggie tell Goodwin that they hit capacity this morning as we see a packed ambulance bay.
Things only get more intense from there as it seems Hannah isn’t the only person Ripley will be putting heads with this week, as Archer bluntly reminds him that this is his ED to which Ripley quips back, “You sure about that,” clearly questioning Archer’s leadership as he continues to navigate co-running the ED.
Perhaps the most unexpected moment in the promo comes at the end as Goodwin receives a death threat that does not mince words. “I’m going to put a knife to your throat and watch you bleed out,” reads the message left for Goodwin, a message that understandably leaves her shaking and has us wondering who might have it out for the hospital’s director of patient and medical services.
