The Chicago Med Season 10 finale features explosive storylines as the show wraps up some existing arcs while introducing new ones in anticipation of the new season. “Following orders, Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) is tasked with enforcing difficult cuts to hospital personnel. Charles’ (Oliver Platt) daughter is hospitalized after a car accident. A transplant patient makes a life-changing decision,” teases the logline for Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 22, “…Don’t You Cry.” NBC released a sneak peek of the episode airing next Wednesday, May 21, previewing numerous arcs as Dr. Charles is hit with another surprise and a father resorts to desperate measures to save his son’s life.
Sometimes it can feel like the world has conspired against someone. Dr. Charles was forced to confront his complicated relationship with his mother after she recently passed away. The video below teases another catastrophe when Charles’ daughter, who was at the funeral, is brought to the ER with serious injuries. It’s unclear how she got the injuries, but it doesn’t make it less devastating. Meanwhile, Dr. Goodwin is fighting battles on two fronts as her relationship with Dennis takes another hit. The board expects her to make some cuts, and, based on the recent allegations at the hospital, anyone could be fired, even those who don’t deserve it. Finally, Walter (Sam Trammell) comes undone after learning that his son won’t be getting the lungs promised to him after another patient, one with fewer chances of survival, is dragged to the front of the line. In a desperate attempt, Walter brings a gun to the ER. Will Dr. Frost (Darren Barnet) be able to stop him before he does something he cannot come back from?
‘Chicago Med’ Season 10 Finale Will Be Shocking
“The final minutes of the hour will have some big shocks with lasting ripple effects,” showrunner Allen MacDonald told TV Line while previewing the finale. Apart from the arcs teased in the video above, Hannah (Jessy Schram) found out she was pregnant, Lenox’s (Sarah Ramos) brother’s condition worsened, and the allegation against Dr. Hayes (Brendan Hines) was not resolved. “It’s going to be a very long summer for Chicago Med fans! Circumstance forces Dr. Charles to face a dark legacy in his family; Goodwin confronts her demons as she makes some deeply difficult decisions, both personal and professional,” the showrunner teased. He also hinted at a surprising return, saying that “there will also be some unexpected faces returning.”
