Actress Torrey DeVitto, who also starred in ‘Pretty Little Liars’, got engaged to director Jared LaPine earlier this month
Torrey DeVitto is opening up about her engagement to Jared LaPine!
The actress — who played Dr. Natalie Manning on medical show Chicago Med from 2015 to 2021 — revealed on Instagram Monday that LaPine, 33, got down on one knee earlier this month during a woodland walk.
“Earlier this month at 5 p.m. on a weekday while walking the back trails at the farm, still in my PJs and goat boots, he got down on one knee, in what I hoped wasn’t poison ivy, and asked for forever, “ “My answer was obvious. ❤️🔒,” DeVitto shared.
The star also included three happy pictures of herself and her fiancé to mark her happy news. One showed the couple with their arms wrapped around each other, another was of LaPine kissing her cheek while the third featured DeVitto laughing while walking in the woods.
DeVitto’s post comes after a rep confirmed her engagement to PEOPLE at the beginning of September. At the time, DeVitto shared a black-and-white photo of the couple together via Instagram simply captioned with a heart emoji, though she didn’t show her ring.
DeVitto first went Instagram official with LaPine back in June when she uploaded snaps of the pair enjoying a sunny day in a Michigan poppy field to Instagram.
Also in June, LaPine posted a photo of the duo on his Instagram with the caption, “Enter Cheesy/Sappy line here.” DeVitto replied in the caption: “I love us.”
The actress recently starred in the Hallmark movie, Love’s Greek to Me, which was released in June. Her previous TV credits include One Tree Hill, The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars.
DeVitto grew up in Long Island, New York, and is the daughter of Liberty DeVitto, an accomplished drummer.
She was previously married to actor Paul Wesley, who also starred in The Vampire Diaries. The couple got divorced in 2013 after tying the knot in 2011.
