Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper has indicated the Diddly Squat team have a ‘difficult season’ ahead.
Since hitting screens in 2021, three seasons of the documentary series have aired on Amazon Prime.
It follows former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson’s haphazard attempts to run his own 1,000-acre Oxfordshire farm, with the help of farm manager Kaleb, land agent Charlie Ireland, ‘head of security’ Gerald Cooper and Jeremy’s partner Lisa Hogan.
Over the past few years, they’ve battled with the death of beloved animals, disagreements with the local council and even figuring out what to do after the farm shop became a little too popular.
But in recent months the weather has wreaked havoc on their ability to plant and sustain their crops.
It’s a problem Kaleb has again pointed to when sharing an update of work at the Chipping Norton farm this week.
Posting an update on Instagram on Monday night, he shared the following message: ‘I can sense this being an interesting and difficult season!
‘We really don’t need this rain in July after the winter we had,’ he added, alongside a face-palm emoji.
The weather conditions in Oxfordshire, where the farm is located, haven’t been ideal recently with rain ravaging the area.
Kaleb’s post comes after an aerial shot of the farm was shared on social media last month which warned they were facing a ‘rough year’.
‘All that seed sowed, drowned with the constant rain,’ the farm’s official Instagram account shared.
Earlier this year Jeremy shared a photo of a rainbow at his farm but bemoaned the wet weather that had caused it: ‘Stop f***ing raining’.
In the latest season of the show, Jeremy spoke about how the wet weather was impacting the farm’s profitability, then turning to other ideas like growing mushrooms and buying pigs to help bring in money.
‘I’ll tell you something else as well. If I hadn’t farmed the unfarmed, we’d be in trouble. The other thing as well is that, again, I’m in the fortunate position of having other income streams.
‘But if you’re a normal farmer and this is your full-time and only job, you get two years where you don’t make any money, you’re screwed.
‘Because of the fluctuations we saw in the price of wheat and the price of fertiliser, you don’t know where you are.’
