Drag Race fans, start your engines because — surprise! — Symone is heading to Station 19! The 29-year-old winner of season 13 of Drag Race will play Mary Mint in the Seattle Pride Parade, and in true Symone fashion, she’s going to bring the fire.
A bona fide star on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Symone — a native of Conway, Arkansas, born Reggie Gavin — holds the record for most lip-sync wins in a single season. Since then, the model, self-named “Ebony Enchantress,” and member of the L.A.-based drag and creative collective known as The House of Avalon has gone on to obtain one million social media followers, co-star in country singer Kacey Musgraves’ “Simple Times” music video, and become the fourth-ever drag queen to attend the Met Gala (come on, golden Barbie!). Now, she’s officially sashaying into S19 with more sass and fabulousness. Don’t believe us? Well, see for yourself.
We won’t give away too much more about what happens to Mary Mint and the rest of the Station 19 firehouse in the episode, other than, when the station attends the winter Pride parade, Maya encounters someone from per past. So tune in to the episode on Thursday, March 28, to watch. As Symone once said, “Let’s see how this one turns out, America!”
And in the meantime, enjoy a couple of those now-famed lip syncs that helped Symone take the Drag Race crown.
