CBS renewed Tracker for a third season, which is set to debut during the 2025–2026 network TV season (likely in the fall of 2025).
Randy calls Colter for help in Tracker season 2, episode 17, “Memories.” Randy’s ex-girlfriend, Megan (his “one who got away”), is in trouble after her friend, Sonia, goes missing following a wild night in Reno. Colter arrives to track Sonia down, and, long story short, he’s successful. However, the hour’s most interesting part comes when Randy presses Colter about his love life and if he has someone like Megan — a woman he views as “the one” for him, but their timing is off. Colter never gives a straight answer, but his reaction implies he has someone in mind when Randy questions him.

Once Camille finally learned what had happened to her sister (even if the answer wasn’t what she most wanted to hear), she decided she could finally move on with her life. So, at the end of Tracker season 2, episode 9, Camille held a funeral for Gina and then made plans to travel. Colter offered his van as a place for her to stay, but she denied his proposal. Although Camille didn’t exactly shut the door on their relationship, they still went their separate ways. Perhaps Colter’s hesitance to let Camille go suggests she could be his “one who got away,” though.
3Billie Matalon
Played By: Sofia Pernas
Sofia Pernas’ Tracker character, Billie Matalon, could also be the woman Colter is alluding to in season 2, episode 17. Like the other candidates on this list, Billie has an extensive history with Justin Hartley’s character. The two have been rival trackers for years. So, the sexual tension between them has been building for quite some time, resulting in them finally giving in to their feelings in the second half of Tracker season 2.

Tracker’s overarching mystery regarding the death of the Shaw family’s patriarch has run into many problems in season 2 of the CBS action drama.
Colter called Billie for help in Tracker season 2, episode 15. Of course, Billie came to his aid and put herself in danger so that Colter could wrap up his latest job, and he eventually did. At the end of the hour, Colter and Billie reunited in her hotel room, where they slept together. Since then, the CBS series hasn’t updated the audience on the status of Colter and Billie’s relationship, but it’s possible that Colter was thinking of Billie when talking to Randy in episode 17. However, the fact that they were just together could clear Billie from this list.
2Reenie Greene
Played By: Fiona Rene
Reenie Greene is undoubtedly the most likely answer to the question — who is “the one who got away” from Colter? She has been a Tracker main character since season 1, and the show is seemingly taking its time developing a romantic reunion for the two. Colter and Reenie dated in the past. However, their chemistry remains off the charts, and it’s only a matter of time before they rekindle their flame (even if it’s just for one night).
It wouldn’t be surprising if Reenie were to be Colter’s endgame, and that the writers are just taking the slow-burn route with their romance. Whatever the case, Colter and Reenie aren’t going to get together anytime soon. Based on how Tracker season 2 has been progressing, it wouldn’t make sense to sneak in a declaration of love between the two characters. Perhaps there will be a promise of something more, especially after Colter’s reaction to Randy pressing him about his love life in episode 17. But viewers shouldn’t be holding their breath for a full-blown Colter and Reenie romance by season 2’s end.
1A Character Who Hasn’t Been Introduced Yet
Much Of Colter’s Past Is Still A Mystery
There is always the possibility of another woman from Colter’s past who Tracker hasn’t introduced or mentioned yet. Maybe Colter is too heartbroken from their breakup to talk about her, which is why we haven’t heard anything about her yet and why he was hesitant to answer Randy’s question in season 2, episode 17. Even though the CBS show differs from the books on which they are based, Tracker could adapt one of Colter’s love interests from the novels, introducing them as the “one who got away.”
