Watch out, Tanners! Steve Hale is back for more food. D.J. Tanner reunites with her high school sweetheart in Netflix’s official Fuller House trailer, which dropped on Tuesday, February 9.
Candace Cameron Bure and Scott Weinger played the lovebirds on Full House from 1991 to 1995. (The show ran for eight seasons, from 1987 to 1995.) The two have appeared to remain close over the years — and Steve still has his varsity jacket! Even more poignantly, he still has a thing for his ex.
“Steve’s so in love with D.J. that he didn’t even notice this sandwich,” Kimmy Gibbler, played by Andrea Barber, says in the new clip.
Last September, Cameron Bure exclusively sat down with Us Weekly about the new show and joked about how much money Steve has probably cost the family. “Thousands and thousands of dollars!” she said at the time. “Steve ate all our food. He’s still eating all our food! Scott’s a doll, I adore him.”
The former lovebirds aren’t the only ones still close. Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin) and Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) share an adorable smooch in the preview. Aunt Becky has two other men (!) in her life too: the couple’s twin sons, Nicky and Alex.
“Live it up now, because the next thing you know, they turn into that!” Lori warns D.J. in the trailer.
