Daniel Radcliffe to Star in NBC’s ‘The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins’ This Fall

Harry Potter alum Daniel Radcliffe is stepping onto the small screen.

The 35-year-old star is set to headline NBC’s upcoming comedy The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, alongside comedy heavyweight Tracy Morgan. Joining the powerhouse duo are Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and rising star Jalyn Hall.

The series centers on Morgan’s character, a disgraced former football legend, who embarks on a wild and hilarious quest to reclaim his fame and restore his public image, according to Entertainment Weekly. The show also marks an exciting reunion of 30 Rock legends—Tina Fey is on board as executive producer, teaming up with 30 Rock veterans Robert Carlock and Sam Means, who are also writing for the show. NBC first announced the pilot in March.

Radcliffe shared on his Instagram account: “NBC has given a series order to the comedy starring Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe. The series is currently titled “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” and follows a disgraced former football player on a mission to rehabilitate his image.”

His fans cheered him on with one person writing: “Way to go Dan.” Another person penned: “That’s awesome and cool.” A third person chimed in: “God bless.”

It comes as NBC has unveiled its full Fall lineup. Alongside Reggie Dinkins, beloved dramas like Chicago Fire (Season 14), Chicago P.D. (Season 13), and Chicago Med (Season 11) are making their return. And if that’s not enough, fan favorites like The Voice are back, along with breakout newcomers like Happy’s Place.

The network has been sharing a phelora of images on social media, as they excited fans with the recent news. They also confirmed the return of Brilliant Minds on their Instagram account, writing: “It’s time for a follow-up appointment! #BrilliantMinds will return this fall on NBC and @Peacock.”

Meanwhile, viewers will see talk show host Jimmy Fallon fronting a new NBC competition series called On Brand with Jimmy Fallon. The official description of the brand new series reads: “Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon will star in a highly addictive competition series in which he starts a premier marketing agency and fills it with the most creative, clever and competitive go-getters he can find.”

However, the news comes as NBC confirms that several popular shows are officially coming to an end. They made a wave of cancellation announcements and unfortunately, some fan favorites didn’t make the cut. Amid the cancellations is a spin-off series that has been shelved.

Viewers will have to say goodbye to more than a few familiar titles as the network reshuffles its lineup. On May 9, they confirmed that both Night Court and Lopez vs. Lopez will not return, each ending after three seasons. The cancellations didn’t stop there – Found, The Irrational and Suits: L.A. have all also been officially axed.
