As the NCIS franchise continues to thrive, fans are buzzing about the recently announced spinoff featuring Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David. With this “Tiva” series in the works, questions arise about the potential for other beloved characters to receive similar treatment, particularly Kensi Blye and Marty Deeks.
In a recent interview, Daniela Ruah, who portrays Kensi, expressed her enthusiasm for the Tiva series, stating, “It’s the best thing ever. The characters have such a strong legacy, and it’s thrilling to see them back.” With the fanbase’s long-standing desire to see Tony and Ziva reunited, the excitement is palpable.
Given the momentum from this new project, could Kensi and Deeks also be in line for a spinoff? Ruah hinted at the possibilities but tempered expectations. She noted that while a show focusing on Kensi, Deeks, their foster daughter Rosa, and their new baby would be intriguing, she doesn’t foresee it happening soon. “Eric is busy with other projects, and I’m focused on my own endeavors,” she explained. “While I wouldn’t say never, a spinoff isn’t on the horizon right now.”
Though fans may be disappointed, Ruah remains active within the franchise, having directed episodes of both NCIS and its Hawaiian spinoff. Meanwhile, the Tiva series promises to deliver fresh content that fans have eagerly awaited.
While the idea of a Densi spinoff is enticing, it seems both Ruah and Olsen are committed to exploring new opportunities for now. Nevertheless, there’s always a chance for their characters to make guest appearances, perhaps joining LL Cool J’s Sam Hanna in future adventures in Hawaii.
For now, fans can celebrate the upcoming Tiva series and hold out hope for more from their favorite characters in the future
