Dark Days Ahead? Angie’s Future in Jeopardy After Will Trent Season 4 Casting News

A casting update has possibly hinted at a major storyline for Will Trent’upcoming season 4. The update teases how a possible dark future may overshadow Angie Polaski’s (Erika Christensen) pregnancy. After having gone through so much together after the events of the third season, it will be interesting to see how Angie and Will (Ramon Rodriguez) react to the latest news about the birth of her baby.

Throughout the challenging Will Trent season 3, Angie went through personal and professional turmoil that nearly broke her down. Angie’s romance with Will was cut short after the special agent placed her under arrest. Although she was suspended, Angie was able to get her job back with the Atlanta Police Department. Will’s ex-girlfriend suffered another setback with the death of her mother, Delilah Polaski (Molly Price), which caused her to relapse.

As the third season came to a close, Will Trent‘s Angie discovered she is pregnant with Dr. Seth McDale’s (Scott Foley) baby. Seth declared his love for Angie after she announced their baby news. With Angie’s baby on the way, viewers might be expecting Foley to stick around more as Seth in the new season. Unfortunately, that may not be the case for the couple.

Will Trent Has Yet To Confirm Scott Foley’s Involvement In Season 4

In the latest casting update, Kevin Daniels, who plays Will Trent‘s Detective Franklin Wilks, has moved up from a recurring role to a series regular. Viewers have gotten to know Franklin as Angie’s close friend after he appeared in about 13 episodes. Unlike her relationship with Will, Angie and Franklin continued to develop their strong bond as he became her sponsor in Alcoholics Anonymous.

Although Kevin Daniels has been upped to series regular on Will Trent, there has been no casting update about Scott Foley in the upcoming fourth season. It seems odd that Daniels has been upped to series regular before Foley, especially since they both play a major part in Angie’s life. Perhaps behind-the-scenes talks are taking place for the former Felicity actor. There may be scheduling conflicts to work out, especially with the Scream 7 star and his other projects.

Or, it could also mean the writers’ room behind Will Trent has other plans, possibly a darker path for Seth and Angie during the fourth season. The Will Trent team might not need Seth around as much during Angie’s pregnancy, and after the birth of their child, during the upcoming 18-episode run.

Why Will Trent Season 4 Losing Seth Sets Angie Down A Difficult Path

The lack of Foley’s involvement in Will Trent season 4 suggests Angie’s pregnancy will take a difficult path. Due to Seth’s absence, Will and Franklin might have to help around more during Angie’s pregnancy. Will isn’t going to abandon Angie, especially after he dealt with his own missing father issues. Although Will and Franklin are sticking close by, Angie still has to deal with the loss of her mother Delilah, who also had to raise a child by herself.
