‘Days of Our Lives’ Casts Michael Roark in Mystery Role Ahead of 60th Anniversary

The Peacock streaming soap opera confirms a new addition.

A mysterious new face is joining the cast of Days of Our Lives, as the Peacock streaming soap ramps up towards its historic 60th anniversary.

Former The Young and the Restless star Michael Roark has been confirmed to be joining the popular soap opera.

A spokesperson for the show confirms, saying, “Yes, Michael Roark has been taping but won’t be seen on-air until the first week of October. No comment about the role he is playing nor the storyline in which he is involved. Stay tuned!”

Rumblings of Roark’s casting began over the weekend when eagle eye soap fans noticed that the actor was following fellow Days of Our Lives cast members on social media. Buzzworthy Radio then ran a report that the actor had joined the hit soap opera earlier this morning.

As previously mentioned, there is no news yet as to what role Roark will be playing.

Roark is currently airing on the Pureflix streaming series, The Black Dagger Brotherhood, as Butch. The series is described as,“The Black Dagger Brotherhood is a paranormal romance series by J.R. Ward that follows a society of vampire warriors who protect their race from de-souled humans called lessers. The Brotherhood is an elite squad of warriors who fight alongside the King of the Vampires against the lessers, and are almost a breed apart from normal vampires. In the series, the Brotherhood is scattered and their numbers are few, until a death brings them back together to fight the lessers and restore the vampire society to its former glory.”

In addition to The Black Dagger Brotherhood, Roarks also known for his role as Travis Crawford on The Young and the Restless, Colton Donavan on Driven and Bill McGuire in Suitcase Killer: The Melanie McGuire Story.

As previously mentioned Roark’s first airdate on Days of Our Lives will be the first week of October.
