Days of Our Lives Recap for October 22, 2025.
On today’s Days of Our Lives recap:
Brady Pub: Leo runs into EJ and asks for a tour of the new free clinic. EJ isn’t quite ready to give an in-depth tour quite yet. Leo says rejection keeps his mind razor focused.
Horton House: Thomas walks in and finds Jeremy putting together a dating profile. Jeremy flips through the profile and describes some of his interests to Thomas. They chat a bit about school and Jeremy says he knows he is going through some stuff. Jermey offers to listen and promises to keep his secrets.
Thomas launches into the issues with Cat and how he lied. The lies aren’t as much the issue as the fact his father dated her in the first place. Jeremy suggests Thomas talk to his dad. Jeremy believes, if Chad found good in Cat, he must have been able to forgive her. Thomas thinks his dad should sign up for a dating app like Jeremy, who pinky swears to talk to him about it.
Titan Industries: Julie arrives and runs into Alex and Stephanie. She assumes Stephanie is doing PR for the new Anastasia Sands novel. She asks if she can accommodate a book signing with the launch. Julie is confused how the authoress will do a signing whilst staying anonymous. With that, Stephanie admits she is the aforementioned authoress. Julie is thrilled and notes the risqué scenes were both graphic and well-written. She asks why they are ruining the mystique of the anonymous author. Stephanie agrees but says Leo found out her secret. Julie notes Leo has a talent for ruining everything. Stephanie agrees and says they have decided to collaborate with him to break the secret. As Julie insults Leo, he arrives on the scene.
Leo promises he will never reveal Stephanie’s erotic identity. He considers her a friend and is also trying to be a better human being. That being said, he thinks she should move forward with coming out as the secret is slowly getting out and will get out of control. Stephanie agrees and says she wants to bring Leo in to work on the reveal with them.
Leo is intrigued but then begins reciting a list of demands. He wants the exclusive and a sit down interview. Further, he wants to cover the signing and book launch. Julie is none too thrilled with that idea. Stephanie thinks it’s a great idea and says the press will be good for all of them. With that, they make a deal. Julie snarks a bit at Leo before making her exit.
Leo tries to get some information about the clinic and the blackout but Stephanie is unmoved. Leo decides to take his promised scoop and exit (but not before lustfully sighing at Alex). Stephanie and Alex are thrilled about the upcoming book launch and identity reveal. Alex shuts the door and the two of them get all kinds of sexy and adorable.
Horton Square: Cat and Mark (yay!) arrive and they talk about reuniting with Felicity and Aaron later in the day. Mark is thrilled to be back and is so grateful for his family’s support. Just then, Chad arrives on the scene and quickly walks away. Mark can’t believe he didn’t take the opportunity to apologize or thank him. Cat says he has plenty of time to make amends and promises Chad is dealing with things in his own way.
Cat explains her relationship ups and downs with Chad and Mark clearly gets why it didn’t work. Cat gets it to and thinks she was naïve to believe they ever had a chance. She tears up as she says she was as close to Chad as any non-family member her entire life. With that, brother and sister embrace.
Mark says he needs to find a job since his medical license has been suspended (but not revoked). That being said, he would love to work at the hospital but doubts Kayla would give him a chance. Cat gets an idea and tells her brother she is working for the man who now owns the hospital. She suggests he speak to EJ as he has nothing to lose.
Brady Pub: Chad arrives and sits with EJ to discuss young Theo taking over DiMera Enterprises. EJ thinks Theo didn’t quite have a choice as Tony flew him around the world to put him in this position. He has no issue with Theo but wonders why he didn’t ask Johnny. Chad doesn’t think Johnny is interested and is simply glad the company is back in the family.
Chad asks about EJ’s relationship with Johnny but he says there has been no improvement. EJ is surprised when Chad admits he is in a similar position. Chad updates EJ on Rachel’s rein of terror causing problems for all involved. EJ is none too happy with his niece but Chad says it’s already done. EJ shifts to Cat and says she is quite heartbroken over the ending of their relationship. Chad thinks EJ is going to try to be there to pick up the pieces.
EJ says his relationship with Cat is simply professional. Even if he was interested, getting with Cat would be an HR nightmare. Further, he is truly sorry Chad’s relationship ended and for Thomas. Chad relents and says he is sorry about Johnny. EJ notes how heartbreaking it is to lose the trust of your children.
Park: Cat is reading Wuthering Heights when Chad approaches. He apologizes for blowing her and Mark off in the square. She admits Mark was upset and is so grateful for his help. Cat shifts and asks about Thomas. Chad says he is still distant and wants to go live with Jack and Jennifer Rose in Boston.
University Hospital – EJ’s Office: EJ is also reading Wuthering Heights when Mark walks in and drops off his resume. EJ can’t be bothered to look up but Mark notices the book, offers commentary and tries to introduce himself. EJ knows who he is but can’t imagine why he’s there. Mark says Cat encouraged him to chat with EJ. He says how he simply wants to make things right and try to move on with his life. Mark notes he is temporarily unable to practice medicine but would do anything to work in the area. EJ looks at his resume as Mark gives him an overview, including how he worked in a research lab through med school. Mark thanks EJ for his time when he is told to stop and take a seat.
University Hospital – Free Clinic: Leo trips over the caution tape and notes the sign indicating hard hats are needed in the area. He sees the Gwen-sized hole has been patched and then notices the keypad by the door. He punches in a random code and another before Rita catches him and identifies him as the reporter, Leo Stark. She says he is trespassing and is calling security.

Horton Square: Alex and Stephanie envision the book signing and all the press and fanfare. Stephanie begins to get a little concerned as she enjoyed being anonymous. What will life be like when everyone knows she is a sort of well-known author. She still blames Jeremy for tipping off Leo and wishes he had stayed out of her life, just as he approaches.

Endings
Leo tries to talk his way out of Rita turning him in, saying he rescued Gwen from the area during the blackout and is trying to find one of his earbuds. Rita is doubtful and annoyed by Leo’s presence. She tells him to leave and never come back and Leo obeys.
EJ says he has use for Mark’s research skills. If he agrees to sign an NDA, ask no questions and just do his work, there’s a place for him at the clinic. Mark is nervous about grey areas as he doesn’t want to return to prison. EJ says nothing he is doing is about the hospital or patient care but research he is funding out of his own pocket. Mark says he can be trusted and the two shake on it.
Cat knows Thomas loves Chad and will eventually come around. The two chat a bit more and stare a little too long before Chad exits.
Jeremy tries to leave the square but Alex is ready to throw down. He says Jeremy pulled the ultimate bitch move. Jeremy doesn’t know what he is talking about and Alex explains about him running his mouth to Leo about Anastasia Sands. Jeremy genuinely doesn’t know who Leo Stark is but Alex still goes after him. Stephanie stops Alex and tells Jeremy to stay away before they exit.
Rita arrives to see EJ and he hands her Mark’s resume. He asks she vet him so when he says jump Mark will say how high. She agrees and then tells EJ all about catching Leo at the free clinic. EJ is annoyed and wants to take care of Leo sooner rather than later.
