Days of Our Lives just seemingly teased the return of two major characters in the soap opera series – Darin Brooks’ Max Brady and Mark Hapka’s Nathan Horton. In the latest episode, Alex, who found a package for Stephanie last week, opened it, discovering a bag the latter had just purchased. However, Stephanie soon learned about the package and suspected that it was from an ex-boyfriend, one she wasn’t particularly keen on seeing. She has had numerous boyfriends throughout the years, including Max and Nathan.
So, are Darin Brooks and Max Brady’s characters returning to Days of Our Lives? Here’s what we know.
Is Darin Brooks’ Max Brady returning to Days of Our Lives?
There is no official confirmation on Max Brady returning to Days of Our Lives as of writing.
Darin Brooks had reportedly last addressed the possibility of his return as Max in November 2012. However, there have not been any concrete reports regarding the same since then.
Stephanie is Max’s adopted niece, and they dated briefly but could not make their relationship work. Their relationship deteriorated and ended due to a combination of trust issues and the presence of Max’s sister Melanie.
Due to how badly their relationship ended, Max may be one of the exes whom Stephanie doesn’t want to see again.
Is Mark Hapka’s Nathan Horton returning to Days of Our Lives?
It’s unconfirmed as of writing if Mark Hapka is coming back to DoOL.
However, Hapka’s character, Nathan Horton, is a strong candidate when it comes to one of Stephanie’s exes making a return. This is mainly because of how his relationship with her unfolded.
Nathan and Stephanie began a flirtatious relationship that became complicated due to them also being involved with Melanie and Phillip, respectively. The four frequently swapped partners as their feelings for each other shifted.
Ultimately, Nathan got tired of the sticky mess he was in. The last straw was his discovery of Stephanie’s scheme to keep her knowledge of Phillip cheating on Melanie a secret. This move was prompted by Stephanie’s worry that Nathan still held feelings for Melanie, despite dating her.
Nathan subsequently left town after accepting a job at Baltimore’s Johns Hopkins Hospital.
