What Big Storyline We’re Following This Week
Johnny’s Wrongful Arrest Will Have Fallout All Over Salem
There are two strong storylines this week, as Sophia will also give birth and attempt to hide the baby’s existence — a plan doomed to failure since everyone she’s trying to keep this secret from is well aware that she is pregnant and near ready to deliver. However, Johnny’s wrongful arrest is the storyline to watch.
This arrest promises to create intense drama throughout Salem. Townspeople may take sides on whether Johnny is innocent or guilty, and the event will cause conflict between people who care about him or each other.
Rafe and Jada’s relationship will likely implode again just as it was getting back on track because Jada broke her promise to leave Johnny alone once Rafe told her what he knew. Chanel is the other one who is filled with rage at these events, causing her to lash out at both EJ and Paulina.
Chanel seems to be in a self-destructive cycle. Threatening EJ was not a good idea in the first place, and he will go to any lengths to protect his son, so she is playing with fire.

Sami was unable to attend John’s funeral, but is supposed to return within a few weeks, and Johnny’s arrest is the perfect reason for her to visit.
Sami will be determined to return to help Johnny, even if it means commandeering a plane or otherwise facing her own legal troubles so that she can be by his side. She might also lash out at Rafe, who reassured her during her last visit that there was “no way Johnny is involved [in EJ’s shooting].”
Rafe is partially to blame for the arrest, since he told Jada about Johnny’s visit to the mansion. Additionally, if Johnny’s case goes to trial, it will wreak havoc with Belle and EJ’s relationship. Belle gets a copy of the memory card as she prepares for the case this week, but it will likely be doctored.
If she sees through this trick, she’ll be furious. Furthermore, EJ and Belle facing off in court will cause both of them to have divided loyalties.
