Opening up.
Bachelor Nation got to know Debbie as she looked for love with Mel Owens on Season 2 of “The Golden Bachelor.”
Debbie was chosen as one of Mel’s final three women but was sent home this week after her Hometown visit.
Now, she’s reflecting on her “Golden Bachelor” journey and sharing how she’s feeling after being sent home.
In a new video online titled “Feeling hopeful ♥️,” she shared, “Okay, so it’s the day after the big Hometown date… and I definitely got teary-eyed again. It was very bittersweet, but I was surrounded by so much love and so much support.”
Debbie continued, “It’s tough to watch. You know, there’s definitely some cringy moments in there for me. But honestly, I wouldn’t trade in the experience for anything because that’s what life’s all about. Taking chances, putting yourself out there, and I thought, why not? I’m ready to find my person and I’m so happy I had that experience with my family. I will treasure that for the rest of my life. I mean, who has that? …These are exciting times; we’ll see what happens!”

The Golden Bachelor Nation star opened up more in her caption about how she’s feeling since going home, as well as an encouragement to take chances.
She said, “Although it didn’t end the way I had hoped, I am still so grateful that I took this journey. It has opened up my heart and life in so many incredible ways. I would encourage you if you are feeling stuck in your life or struggling with loneliness, that you put yourself out there and take some chances. Get out of your comfort zone and never give up on finding love!”
Debbie ended her post with a note of gratitude for the other women in the house.
She wrote, “Plus, I now have over a dozen of new best friends. How incredible is that at 65 years old!? I hope you enjoyed the episode and I’d love to hear your thoughts. Tune in next week for the women tell episode! ❤️”
We always love hearing from Debbie and we’re so glad she had such a great experience. And yes, make sure to tune in to “The Women Tell All” next week!
