Sheldon’s fellow child prodigy was introduced in Young Sheldon season 2. She was self-aware and sociable, on top of being highly intelligent. Unfortunately, she started struggling after her parents’ divorce. Young Sheldon season 6 brought her back, significantly moving her story forward, but there’s still no definitive ending to her arc. Despite not being a Cooper family member, it’s important that Paige’s story gets a clear resolution.
It’s unclear if Swanson will make an appearance in the next Young Sheldon spinoff. Considering her ties to the family, particularly with Missy, CBS can continue developing her narrative with the only Cooper daughter. Perhaps they can even properly redeem her after years of being rebellious. If this isn’t in the current plan right now, bringing her back in Young Sheldon season 7 will allow the series to give her the send-off she deserves as one of the most memorable guest stars on the TV hit.
