Gordon Ramsay also faced the brunt of Ellen DeGeneres’s iron-fist rule on her show after he was allegedly banned for insulting her cooking.
Ellen DeGeneres can’t seem to catch a break after new bullying allegations surfaced against her last month. The daytime talk show host ended her long-running show in 2022 after her former staffers accused her of fostering a culture of racism, fear, and intimidation on set. Apparently, the new report suggests that her behavior extended to her guests as well.
According to a source, she shadow-banned celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay from her show. This source, a former Ellen employee, claimed in an interview with The Daily Mail that DeGeneres couldn’t take Ramsay’s playful criticisms in the right sense.
Ramsay lastly appeared on the show in a 2010 episode. The source said that Ramsay exhibited a playful version of his famously abrasive TV demeanor towards DeGeneres and called her cooking “rubbish”. While he wasn’t serious about his criticism, DeGeneres allegedly didn’t like his reaction.
The source shared:
[Ramsay] gave her some quip. They were doing a food test together, and Ellen offered him a sample first. As soon as he bit in, he was like, ‘This is rubbish. This is disgusting.’ She didn’t like the reaction. It was like eight seasons he didn’t come back for after.
The talk show host allegedly used rancid meat for an on-screen cookery demonstration, which resulted in Ramsay’s quip. Ramsay’s shadow ban from the show was the least disturbing among the new bullying claims against Ellen DeGeneres.
New Bullying Claims Surfaced Against Ellen DeGeneres
According to The Daily Mail’s source, who was a former cameraman, Ellen DeGeneres allegedly forced a high-ranking producer to reschedule their child’s major operation. The source shared that the child’s bone marrow transplant was scheduled during the Christmas holiday week.

This person was asked if they could move the procedure around the Christmas holiday week, for Ellen. They were there on the day of the taping that week – Ellen got exactly what she wanted.
The source added that DeGeneres particularly disliked men. Her male staffers allegedly walked on eggshells when her wife, Portia de Rossi, was on set. The source said, “Portia was nice, she would say ‘hi’.” However, the source shared that the male employees “just hoped and prayed you weren’t seated by her wife” to avoid getting the “Ellen gaze”, which was like a death stare.
DeGeneres was allegedly infuriated by a supporting performer once, who was being nice to her. The source shared that when DeGeneres tried riding a unicycle on the stage, this performer made a comment like, “Don’t fall.” DeGeneres allegedly replied, “No, I won’t,” and later told one of the executive producers, “Don’t let this guy on the show again.”
The source claimed that she allegedly got a staffer on another show fired over a parking space issue at Warner Bros. lot, where her show was being filmed. The source also shared that the ex-employees, who were fired, were also allegedly stopped from getting jobs elsewhere.
Ellen DeGeneres Allegedly Had Plans For a Comeback After Bullying Scandal
A source told RadarOnline that the fresh bullying claims have put a dent in Ellen DeGeneres’s plans to make a comeback. The source shared that her move to the countryside in the U.K. was “to let the dust settle on the bullying scandal.” She was exposed when several ex-employees spoke to BuzzFeed in 2020 about their awful experiences.
She quickly became the “Queen of Mean” and the “Daytime Dictator” for fans. The source told Radar, “Her goal has always been to make a comeback. She’s just been waiting for enough time to pass.” The source further added:
They’ve been making a big show of how much they love life in the Cotswolds, but it’s an open secret that Ellen is champing at the bit to get her career back on track.
The source shared that DeGeneres was allegedly “hitting up her contacts,” especially after rumors of Kelly Clarkson stepping down from her show to focus on her music career. When The Ellen DeGeneres Show ended in 2022, Clarkson’s show took its slot.
The new allegations have allegedly “hit Ellen like a ton of bricks.” The source said, “She’s smart enough to know it’s a huge turnoff for anyone wanting to hire her.” The source shared that DeGeneres was facing the harsh reality that she might never be able to regain her lost reputation.
The source also added, “It’s put her in a foul mood and as usual poor Portia is bearing the brunt of it.” There were divorce rumors floating around on the internet; however, DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi shut down the rumors with their 17th anniversary celebrations last month.
