The snarky, bodacious Midwest mom known as Roseanne Conner has finally returned to our TV screens in the highly anticipated Roseanne revival on ABC. Love her or hate her, the mother of four always knew how to throw down the law to keep her kids in line — even when they continued to cross it in defiance of their mother’s wishes.
If you’ve caught a glimpse of the reboot, you’ll notice one Conner is noticeably missing. Make no mistake, Roseanne and Dan Conner are proud parents of four. Take a trip down memory lane in a recap of the Conner kids below.
Becky Conner-Healy
The oldest of the Conner clan, played by Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke, Becky Conner was the intellectual among her siblings. Becky loved school and had big dreams she aspired to pursue.
Known for her impulsive decision-making, Becky was the first to leave the Conner home in her pursuit of love. She notably ran away and eloped with bad-boy Mark Healy.
Both Chalke and Goranson are back for the Roseanne revival. Chalke returns as Andrea, a woman in pursuit of a surrogate, which she soon finds in a grown Becky Conner, played by Goranson.
Darlene Conner-Healy
Sara Gilbert gave us major sass in the role of middle child Darlene Conner. Taking after her mother’s signature snark and gift of gab, the second oldest of the Conner kids was always delivering hilarious one-liners, be it in a war of words with her parents, teasing her younger brother, or poking fun at her boyfriend (and later husband), David Healy, Mark’s brother.
Darlene, now divorced from David, is left back in the Conner house with daughter Harris and gender-fluid son Mark, named after their uncle.
D.J. Conner
David Jacob Conner, played by Michael Fishman, held the title of the family baby . . . until younger brother Jerry came along. Better known as D.J., he was the little brother we all loved to roll our eyes at or cock our heads at with his eccentricities. His innocence played well in contrast to his strong-willed older sisters. Though he was often referred to as “weird” by his sisters, D.J. always knew how to make Dan and Roseanne smile as the family kiss-up.
Now a grown adult in the revival, D.J. is a proud father of Mary, his daughter from his marriage to former classmate Geena. Roseanne notably addressed D.J.’s childhood struggle to befriend Geena for being a person of color. He learned to accept and embrace his peer, whom he later wed.
Jerry Garcia Conner
Jerry Garcia Conner, originally played by twins Cole and Morgan Roberts, first graced our screens in season six of Roseanne. Born on Halloween, Jerry was the adorable, blond baby on Roseanne’s hips in the final seasons of the show.
Jerry is not currently expected to make an appearance in the revival and is said to be off in Alaska.
