This new season will follow the events of Julia Quinn’s third ‘Bridgerton’ novel, ‘An Offer From a Gentleman’, which sees Benedict searching for the lady in silver, who he meets at a masquerade ball. This lady later turns out to be a low-born woman named Sophie Beckett. However, according to the latest reports, the makers have decided to change the character Sophie’s surname to Baek, to honour Yerin’s Korean heritage.
While the leaked photos gave only a glimpse of the spectacle to come, it seems like the story will pick up soon after the events of Season 3. The finale even had Benedict expressing his reluctance to attend his mother’s masquerade ball.
