Per Bleeding Cool, Boreanaz and Deschanel will appear alongside fellow cast members T.J. Thyne, Tamara Taylor and Bones creator Hart Hanson during a special 20th anniversary panel at Televerse in Los Angeles. The event will run from August 14-16, 2025 at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live, and the panel will feature Hanson and the actors looking back at Bones‘ twelve seasons.
Bones was based on the life of world-renowned forensic anthropologist and author Kathy Reichs, who served as a producer on the series. It starred Deschanel as Temperance “Bones” Brennan, a fictionalized version of Reichs who worked at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington D.C., frequently alongside FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (played by Boreanaz). The series’ ensemble cast was rounded out by Thyne as entomologist Jack Hodgins, Taylor as pathologist Camille Saroyan, Eric Millegan as Zack Addy and Michaela Conlin as forensic artist Angela Montenegro.
Emily Deschanel Is Open to a Bones Revival
Several members of the Bones cast have been vocal about wanting to see the series return in one form or another. Deschanel expressed interest to CBR in March 2025, saying that “People talk about potentially rebooting the show in some way… It is the 20th anniversary this year, so it’d be fun to do something for that, but I don’t know. I’m not in charge of such things, but I’d be down for it.”
“I keep bringing it up!” added Carla Gallo, who co-hosts the Bones rewatch podcast Boneheads with Deschanel. “It’s definitely been coming up. I’m over-eager. I’m like, ‘When is this? When are we doing this?'”
