Elsbeth First Look: Beanie Feldstein Turns Killer Bridesmaid in Episode 15 md18

Well into its third season, Elsbethhas cracked the case on how to carve out its own unique niche among the plethora of crime procedurals dominating the network television landscape. With its clever “killer of the week” premise that features a dazzling new guest star each week, the series has become the coziest crime comedy on TV. Today, Collider is thrilled to team up with CBS to bring you a first look at Elsbeth Season 3, Episode 15, “Otherwise Enraged,” and the Booksmartstar who’ll be facing off against Carrie Prestonin just two weeks.

On April 9, Broadway star and Booksmart and Lady Bird alum Beanie Feldsteinwill appear in the series as a scorned bridesmaid, whom Elsbeth will be investigating when the girl’s best friend turns up dead. The official logline for the episode reads: “When a serial bride is found bludgeoned in her apartment, Elsbeth investigates the victim’s best friend (Beanie Feldstein), a particularly experienced and bitter bridesmaid.” The series is currently on hiatus along with the rest of CBS’ Thursday night lineup, while the network makes way for March Madness. Ahead of Feldstein’s debut in the series, Elsbeth will return — alongside Georgie & Mandy, Ghosts, and Matlock — on April 2 with an episode featuring Succession and Hacks alum J. Smith Cameron.

What Is the Set of ‘Elsbeth’ Really Like as a Guest Star?

Elsbeth' Recap, Season 2 Episode 9: 'Unalive and Well'

Recently, I sat down with Emmy Award-winner Jeff Hiller for an episode of Collider Set Storiesto discuss what it’s really like working as a guest star on two of CBS’ biggest shows following his back-to-back appearances on Elsbeth and Ghosts. Hiller had no shortage of praise for Elsbeth’s leading lady, commending Preston for how she anchors the series and her endlessly warm presence on set. “The first thing I shot was my interrogation scene,” Hiller told Collider, “you know, Carrie’s just sort of like a normal person and then [you] see her turn into Elsbeth. All of a sudden, she became Elsbeth. It was like ‘Oh, this is so fun, I’m in the play up on stage!'” As Elsbeth films on location in New York City, Hiller compared filming the series to camping, as the show is always “carving out a green room in some weird little awkward space, and you’re all getting to know each other.”

Beanie Feldstein will have her turn on Elsbeth on April 9 on CBS. In the meantime, you can check out our first look images above and stream previous episodes of the series on Paramount+.
