Elsbeth Season 3 Takes a Thanksgiving Break — But New Episodes Are Coming Soon! md18

There is some disappointing news for Elsbeth fans tonight, Thursday, Nov. 27. There isn’t a new episode of the series, but this isn’t going to be all that surprising.

Look, it’s Thanksgiving. We know that the big networks don’t put new episodes of their top shows on this night. It’s a death sentence for the shows! NBC gets most of the coverage for the Thanksgiving football game, and those who aren’t watching football, are spending their time together as a family.

Watch a rerun of Elsbeth instead on November 27

The entire Thursday night block is off the air tonight, and that’s okay! In fact, it’s a good thing considering it’s the holiday. And while CBS will air a basketball game for the first block of the night, there’s some exciting news for Elsbeth fans. There is a rerun in the usual time of 10/9c.

Of course, you can also turn to Paramount+ if you want to watch past episodes. The entire show that’s aired so far is there. If you watch the episode on CBS, we’re heading back to the second hour of the season, as Elsbeth and Captain Wagner deal with a hapless ex-con and a potentially deadly standoff.

Elsbeth has new episodes coming in 2025

A lot of shows are heading out on their winter breaks right now. We’ve seen it with Chicago Fire and Grey’s Anatomy, taking an early break to come back in January. Well, there’s great news for CBS viewers, because the shows aren’t on their winter breaks just yet.

Elsbeth season 3 will have at least two more episodes this year — that’s where the schedule goes up to. The first episode will air on Thursday, Dec. 4, with an episode titled “Basket Case.” It will be back to its regular time as Matlock also returns with new episodes.

When the show is back, Elsbeth will need to head to a locker room on a campus when a murder rocks the college basketball team. Lana Condor from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before guest stars in this episode.

Then there will be another episode on Thursday, Dec. 11, which is likely to be the fall finale. We’ll be sure to confirm this closer to the time. Once the show does go on a break, it will be a relatively long one, as CBS won’t bring shows back until after the Winter Olympic Games in February 2026.

Elsbeth is available to stream on Paramount+ to watch whichever episode you want.
