Emily Osment Returns to Her Dream Job in ‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’ Season 2 Set Images

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 2 premieres on October 16, 2025, on CBS, and we cannot wait to return to one of television’s most beloved couples as they navigate raising their daughter CeCe. Unlike its predecessor, Young Sheldon, the spin-off is filmed in front of a live studio audience with tickets available for fans to attend tapings with dates running through Tuesday, December 16. With taping kicking off this past Tuesday, August 5, we now have some lovely pictures from behind the scenes featuring some of the show’s beloved cast.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage was co-created by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland. To celebrate the start of production, co-creator Molaro took to his social media account to share images from set. One image captures Mandy (Emily Osment), back in front of a camera, helping the citizens of Medford with their weather updates. “Season 2, Day 1!,” read Molaro’s caption. Series star, Osment, would not be left out of the action as well, as she shared another image of her character’s return to broadcasting ahead of Season 2. Other images shared by Molaro feature series co-lead, Georgie (Montana Jordan) and his new business partner, coworker Reuben (Jessie Prez), back at the tire store. The pair had come together to purchase the establishment from Georgie’s father-in-law, Jim (Will Sasso). Another image also features the somewhat unlikely fan-favorite character from Season 1, Mandy’s brother, Connor (Dougie Baldwin).

The two-part Season 1 finale of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage helped set the stage for what fans might expect when the series returns later this fall. By the time it was done, the entire McAllister household would be forever changed. Jim had resisted the opportunity to sell his tire shop to his rival, which would allow him to retire. This helped him sidestep putting a strain on his relationship with Georgie, who put his mother’s house as collateral and partnered up with Ruben to buy Jim’s store, making both of them business partners and co-owners. Meanwhile, Mandy gets a full-time position as a weather reporter, but her boss is her ex-boyfriend, a detail she had never told Georgie since she started filling in at the station for months. In the aftermath of Georgie realizing this, the pair engage in a tense discussion, ultimately deciding on trusting one another.

However, while the pair might have decided to trust each other, how they navigated issues of work, debt and career choices has already put some strain on their relationship. Mandy’s decision to work alongside her ex might be the brick that sends the castle crashing down, as previously established lore in The Big Bang Theory points towards an inevitable divorce. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 2 premieres on October 16, 2025, on CBS.
