End of an Era: SEAL Team Season 7 Marks Final Deployment on Paramount+

TVLine has learned that the acclaimed military drama will end with Season 7, which began production in early December and will premiere sometime in 2024.

“It has been an honor to tell stories over seven seasons that celebrate the courage and heroism of all who serve our country,” executive producers Spencer Hudnut and Christopher Chulack said in a joint statement. “We are incredibly grateful to our incredibly talented cast, writers, directors, and crew, especially the hundreds of veterans who worked on this show.

“While we look forward to continuing to focus on areas where we can do better for our service members even after Season 7 concludes,” the EPs added, “we hope that the SEAL Team community will continue to fight to protect those who protect us.”

“For six seasons, I have been blessed and blessed to be a part of this incredible cast and crew. Every day is a thank you to the men and women of the military and Special Forces.

I am grateful to our fans, and I am proud that we were able to make this show that shines a light on so much suffering today.” I look forward to Season 7 and the opportunity to end this series with love and gratitude.”

Last season’s SEAL Team shed its Clay Spenser character, as original cast member Max Thieriot departed for CBS’ hit series Fire Country (which he co-created). Raffi Barsoumian joined the cast/team as Omar Hamza, moving from Foxtrot.

Season 6 ended with Boreanaz’s Jason Hayes revealing—at his Navy Seal graduation ceremony, no less—his TBI and critical condition during recent missions, after which he was called in by his superiors. “You made a terrible mess and left us no choice but to fire you,” Blackburn declared.

Ray interrupted the heated discussion to reveal that he had been suffering from PTS since the kidnapping, and then everyone else entered the room—Sonny, Brock, Trent, Omar, and two dozen other operators, each describing the cause of their impairments. Near-constant headaches. Ringing in the ears. Breacher syndrome. Inability to sleep. Blurry vision. Memory loss. You name it.

“Thanks, man,” Jason said to Ray beside him. Ray scoffed, “What were the orders, pull all our birds? Like you taught me, alpha dog: Always improve your fighting stance.”

“When we first heard about SEAL Team nearly seven years ago, I was struck by the producers’ genuine passion for telling authentic stories that honor and celebrate the sacrifices of veterans and all who serve our country,” said David Stapf, President of CBS Studios, in a statement.

“Since that first meeting, they have not wavered in that mission. The characters, storylines, and performances from the cast continue to be exquisite and powerful.” Thank you to David, Spencer, Chris, Mark, and the entire cast and crew for their collaboration, creative vision, and dedication. We look forward to an exciting and fulfilling seventh and final season.”

SEAL Team premiered on CBS in September 2017, with a cast that included Boreanaz, Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., A.J. Buckley, Toni Trucks, Jessica Paré, and Judd Lormand. After being renewed for Season 5, the series moved to CBS’ sister streaming channel Paramount+, and in October 2022, premiered Episode 100.

To celebrate the series’ seventh season, Paramount+ will take SEAL Team on the road to honor and support our nation’s armed forces and partner with programs that benefit our nation’s veterans.
