Several more spinoffs are in development, and we can’t wait to see how they’ll turn out. So far, Taylor Sheridan has been King Midas with a cowboy hat, churning out TV gold at an electrifying pace. We thus have every reason to believe that all Yellowstone babies currently in the womb will grow to be titans once birthed. And in a television landscape where reconciliation can never be ruled out, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Kevin Costner appearing in one of the offshoots via flashback scenes.
5. ‘1923’ (Season 2)
Premiering on February 23
Two of the Best Leads Currently on Television
1923 Season 2 is a great milestone since it is the only time a Yellowstone offshoot has had an additional season. For a show starring two of the greatest actors of our time, nothing was ever going to go wrong in the first season, and we don’t expect the second season to be a mess either. Hopefully, Emmys will come this time. As good as Yellowstone’s world has been, the golden trophy has eluded it, and we hope the snub will end soon.
For now, one can’t help but marvel at how Sheridan always manages to get big-name actors for his shows. Who knows? Leonardo DiCaprio and Clint Eastwood might appear in one of the upcoming productions.
4. ‘The Madison’
Unconfirmed Release Date
The Yellowstone universe has been majorly patriarchal so far, so it will be refreshing to see things from a woman’s perspective again, as is partly the case in 1923. Sheridan couldn’t have chosen a better lead. Pfeiffer knows about portraying well-heeled characters. Just peek into Scarface to see. The series will also star Patrick J. Adams, better known for playing Mike Ross, in Suits, so brace yourself for charm and class.
3. Untitled Beth & Rip Spinoff
Unconfirmed Release Date
Details about the upcoming spinoff centering around Beth and Rip are sketchy, but there’s a rough outline of a world where the lovebirds start a new ranch and attempt to create a fresh legacy without the Dutton tag. The show is set to explore their relationship further and we’ll most likely see them build a huge family.
The Love Story Goes On
Be prepared for a spinoff that seems more like Season 6 than a separate series. After all, any major deviation from the main show’s template will likely disappoint fans of the two characters. One can bet on the offshoot digging deeper into romance arcs than in its parent. So, Yellowstone was labeled a soap opera? We will be showered with even more declarations of love in Beth & Rip’s story.
2. ‘6666’
Unconfirmed Release Date
The Ranch’s Long History Provides Plenty of Material to Explore
Is Sheridan being too ambitious? How far deep can stories about ranch employees go? The idea of a Four Sixes spinoff has worried fans since the ranch isn’t that different from the Dutton land. Can the show be unique?
Well, the real Four Sixes was established in 1900 by cattleman Samuel Burk Burnett, meaning there is about a century and a quarter of history to explore. Burnett is rumored to have won the ranch from a card game in which he scored four sixes while other reports claim the name emerged from the first herd he raised, which was branded “6666”. Up until 2020, the ranch was owned by the Burnett family, so 6666 could easily be a show about this particular clan, or one inspired by it. Add the fact that the ranch was once used to shoot various commercials and the western, Mackintosh, and T.J., and you have an excellent story.
1. ‘1944’
Unconfirmed Release Date
1923 is set to end after the second season but the story is far from over. Taylor Sheridan will make a continuation show set in the year 1944. The appropriately titled 1944 will follow the next generation of the Dutton family as they deal with their era’s challenges. The spinoff is expected to trace the footsteps of Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) and Alexandra Dutton (Julia Schlaepfer) after they inherit the ranch.
