Believe it or not, it’s been two decades since Everybody Loves Raymond left our screens. Additionally, the iconic Ray Romano-led sitcom will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026. And the Paley Center for Media has announced that The Paley Museum will host a new blockbuster exhibit for the milestone occasion.
“30 Years of Everybody Loves Raymond: A Behind-the-Scenes Tribute” opens on Friday, June 13 in Midtown Manhattan at The Paley Museum and will run until Sunday, September 7. According to a press release from the Paley Center, the exhibit will feature costumes worn by the Emmy-winning cast, including Romano, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, and the late Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle.
It will additionally contain “props and artifacts including Frank and Marie’s big fork and spoon, the infamous canister, and the toaster Ray gave his parents as a Christmas gift. Visitors can snap a photo at the iconic kitchen table, the setting of so many of the show’s classic scenes, or relax on Ray and Debra’s famous couch, the heart of many unforgettable moments. The exhibit will also feature rare footage and photos from the set including video of writer’s room conversations and behind-the-scenes banter among the cast and crew.”
“Everybody Loves Raymond has earned its place as one of television’s most popular and beloved sitcoms, and we’re honored to celebrate its 30th anniversary with this special exhibit at The Paley Museum,” said Maureen J. Reidy, President and CEO of The Paley Center for Media. “We’re thrilled to welcome Ray Romano, Phil Rosenthal, and members of the cast and creative team on June 16, as fans join us in paying tribute to the show’s enduring legacy.”
As Reidy mentions, the exhibit will kick off with two live events for the public. On Monday, June 16, the cast and creative team of Everybody Loves Raymond, including Romano and series creator Rosenthal, will get together for a behind-the-scenes look at the show’s finale, which includes a “few surprise revelations,” in “30 Years of Everybody Loves Raymond: An Evening with the Legends of the Classic Sitcom.” Paley Patron Circle Members can also enjoy a private reception with Romano and Rosenthal prior to the event’s start at 7:00 p.m.
Only two days later, on Wednesday, June 18, at 4:00 p.m., the museum will host the latest event in its acclaimed “Conversation with a Curator” series. In “Everybody Loves Raymond to Hello! Hi! How Are You?” Paley Senior Curator Ron Simon will speak with Tom Caltabiano, the Emmy Award-winning writer and co-executive producer of Everybody Loves Raymond (and also, interestingly, the creator and voice of the popular PBS character Mr. Clown). According to the press release, “he will share the secrets of the creative process in television, from writing for one of TV’s most beloved series to launching a new children’s series on educational television.”
