Who’s ready for a little bit more of Jay Hayden in their lives? While he sadly won’t be reprising his Station 19 role, he’s heading to another procedural drama that people absolutely love!
Fans know the actor portrayed Travis Montgomery on the ABC show, which ended after seven seasons back in May. Well, it looks like Jay will be back on TV very soon, as Deadline announced on September 3 he’s set to star in the hit CBS drama FBI: International in a recurring role throughout season 4. If that wasn’t enough for folks to get excited about, Jay confirmed the news with a screenshot of the announcement over on his Instagram the same day.
“Very excited,” he succinctly captioned the post.
When the actor’s followers discovered what his next acting project would be, they proceeded to bombard him with words of how excited they were to see him on TV again.
“WOW! FBI International is going to be amazing!” one person declared in the comments. “Yeahhhhh congratulations Jay!!! So excited for you!” another declared. “Oh so what you’re saying is I have to start watching previous seasons now so I can catch up,” a different follower added.
So, what is Jay’s new role on FBI: International? The outlet writes he is set to portray Agent Tyler Booth, an “intelligent and charismatic agent” who will be traveling to Budapest (where the show takes place) to assist on a case. What’s more, Jay is set to debut on the show later on in the season, giving us some time to catch up on the show ahead of his debut.
The news of Jay joining FBI: International marks the second actor coming on this season. Jesse Lee Soffer is also playing one of the new characters this season, taking over as series lead in the role of Wesley Mitchell, the new supervisory special agent and head of the International Fly Team.
It looks like we have a lot to look forward to!
