Which NBC shows are getting renewed for new seasons? If you’re looking for a place to keep track of this information, you’ve come to the right place.
Below, read a running list of every show that has been renewed for a new season on NBC. (This is a continuously updated list of NBC renewals — keep checking back here as more shows are confirmed to come back!)
The Voice
Season 28 will feature Coaches Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé.
One Chicago
All three series (Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D.) return fall 2025 with new seasons.
Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU
Law & Order Thursdays live on this fall with new seasons of SVU and the flagship title.
Brilliant Minds
The Zachary Quinto-led drama about a quirky but brilliant neurologist will return this fall to NBC. Season 1 reached 31 million viewers across all platforms.
The Hunting Party
The Hunting Party Season 1 had a stellar run, too, reaching 27 million viewers across platforms. So it will return for Season 2!
Happy’s Place
It’s official: Reba McEntire will return for Season 2 of Happy’s Place!
After the pilot episode brought in over 17 million viewers since it first aired in October 2024, NBC announced on February 20 that Happy’s Place will be returning for a second season — and we’re sure Season 2 will build upon the first’s success.
Starring McEntire, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn (McEntire’s real-life beau!), Happy’s Place has quickly gained comfort-watch status from fans and critics alike. Variety described the NBC sitcom as “nostalgic, funny, and heartfelt,” adding that “it has the heart, fun, and familiarity” — and fans couldn’t stop tuning in.
McEntire has been an integral part of the NBC family for years. If we can’t have the country music icon sitting in a Coach Chair on The Voice every go-round, we’re happy to have her steal the show every episode on Happy’s Place for the foreseeable future!
St. Denis Medical
On January 14, NBC confirmed that St. Denis Medical was renewed for a second season, which means fans will continue to see the misadventures and hospital hijinks of the many doctors and nurses that make up the fictional Oregon hospital.
The series, co-created by former Superstore visionaries Justin Spitzer and Eric Ledgin, stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper, and Kaliko Kauahi. The best part? They’re all expected to reprise their roles in Season 2.
Variety called St. Denis Medical “a winning workplace comedy.”
2025 will also see the return of Dateline NBC, Big Ten Pregame / Notre Dame Pregame, Big Ten Saturday Night / Notre Dame Football, Football Night in America, NBC Sunday Night Football, and the NBA’s schedule.
Can viewers stream these shows on-demand?

New episodes appear on the streaming platform the day after its original airing, with the latest episodes of Happy’s Place hitting Peacock on Saturdays and new St. Denis Medical episodes on Wednesdays.
