One aspect of FBI: Most Wanted season 6, episode 14, titled “100%,” offers a strong clue about how the procedural may wrap up in May. Although FBI: Most Wanted is still popular after six seasons, the procedural is one of the shows that CBS canceled in 2025. The shocking cancellation news makes room in the schedule for a new FBI spinoff, FBI: CIA. However, it also raises the question of how the writers will wrap up the final season of the oldest spinoff of FBI.
“100%” revolves around Hana (Keisha Castle-Hughes) getting caught up in a hostage situation at a VA hospital. Hana is visiting the hospital to support Ethan, who is seeking help for his drug addiction, when an aggrieved friend of a veteran who isn’t getting proper care pulls out a gun. Since FBI: Most Wanted’s Remy Scott (Dylan McDermott) is on vacation during this episode, Sheryll (Roxy Sternberg) takes charge of the situation. Although there was a tragic misstep during the situation, Sheryll was mostly effective in leading the team, and most of the hostages were released without injury.
Sheryll Takes Over The Team In Light Of Remy’s Absence In FBI: Most Wanted Season 6, Episode 14
She Has To Negotiate With SWAT As Well As The Hostage-Takers To Get Anything Done
Sheryll faces immense pressure throughout “100%.” With Remy out of the country, it is her responsibility to get the hostages violence — including Hana — safely out of the building and arrest the offenders while engaging in as little as possible. Sheryll is called while hostage negotiations break down, and she quickly proves she knows what she is doing — she gets the perp, Dani, talking and secures the release of a security guard. Unfortunately, that isn’t enough to get the SWAT team to listen to her concerns about breaching the building, and they do so anyway, with tragic results.
Although Sheryll isn’t able to stop the SWAT team from dismissing her perspective, she takes action immediately, contacting Isobel to ensure she is put in command. In the end, negotiations failed, and Sheryll had to order a sniper hit, which ended badly when the friend Dani is trying to help is killed. However, this is indirectly the fault of the SWAT team, who previously broke Dani’s trust and made her refuse to negotiate further with Sheryll after they breached the building. Thus, it is not entirely Sheryll’s fault that the resolution of the hostage crisis didn’t go as well as hoped.
FBI: Most Wanted Could End With FBI: Most Wanted Remy Leaving
The Fugitive Task Force Could Go On Without Him
Since FBI: Most Wanted season 7 isn’t happening, the creative team has to create an appropriate ending for the procedural, and it seems as if Remy leaving the team is a viable possibility. Remy has struggled with work/life balance this season. He is currently in a long-distance relationship that is made even more difficult by his unpredictable work schedule, and he tends to put cases before other concerns killed his relationship with his previous romantic partner. Additionally, Remy was hit in the jaw during an arrest early in the season, contributing to burnout and disillusionment with the job.
Sheryll’s leadership during the hostage situation could be considered a test run for her ability to take over for Remy.
Remy is passionate about seeking justice for victims, so he wouldn’t leave the Fugitive Task Force unless he was sure there was an adequate replacement. Sheryll’s leadership during the hostage situation could be considered a test run for her ability to take over for Remy. If he is happy with how she leads the team, it might make him more comfortable with the prospect of retirement at the end of FBI: Most Wanted. If this happens, it will also be a personal triumph for Sheryll, who deserves appreciation and rewards for her hard work with the team.
FBI: Most Wanted Season 6, Episode 14 Suggests Sheryll Is Perfectly Capable Of Replacing Remy
She Handles Multiple Crises Well
Sheryll’s behavior at the VA hospital demonstrates that she is the perfect candidate to replace Remy as the leader of the Fugitive Task Force. She doesn’t allow the SWAT team to intimidate her, nor does she accept them overriding her ideas, especially after their stubbornness leads to team members getting hurt and the situation escalating. She is also able to adapt to changing circumstances. Unfortunately, the wrong person got killed when she ordered a sniper hit, but Sheryll was able to continue to lead effectively despite these heartbreaking circumstances.
These qualities make Sheryll a more-than-competent team leader. If she were to take over for Remy at the end of FBI: Most Wanted, that would be a strong, hopeful ending to the series. It will allow the Fugitive Task Force to continue under competent leadership while Remy walks away and finally finds the balance he needs in his life. Additionally, Sheryll has been searching for her purpose within the FBI since her divorce, so gaining this leadership position would be a fitting wrap-up for her character.
