FBI Season 7 Synopsis Reveals New Details That Could Influence Character’s Upcoming Exit

A new synopsis for the FBI season 7 premiere reveals new details that could influence an upcoming character exit when the police procedural returns. In August, it was confirmed that Katherine Renee Kane would be leaving the show as Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, her final episode being the premiere of FBI season 7. This comes off the tail of her shooting terrorist Hakim Siran (Antwayn Hopper) in the season 6 finale, managing to kill him just before he could pull a gun on her.

Now, Paramount has released the synopsis for FBI season 7, episode 1, titled “Abandoned,” revealing a focus on a Brooklyn plumber’s death that quickly expands into a global investigation, forcing the team to rub elbows with the CIA. The synopsis also says “Tiffany struggles with fieldwork in the aftermath of the Hakim case,” hinting at what might influence her to leave the team during the premiere. The synopsis also reiterates the show’s return date of Tuesday, October 15 at 8 p.m. ET and its subsequent availability on Paramount+.

What FBI Season 7’s Premiere Synopsis Means For The Upcoming Episodes

Tiffany’s Absence Will Leave A Hole In The Team

Tiffany’s exit from FBI marks a sudden end for her story, which could have gone in a plethora of interesting directions after being forced to kill Hakim at the end of season 6. It appears that, with her personal struggles intersecting alongside the team’s new case, there will be developments that prevent her from having as strong a role as she usually displays. Her departure will also be the first time a main cast member has left the series since Ebonée Noel as Kristen Chazal in season 2, marking a major shift the team hasn’t faced in quite some time.

Despite Tiffany’s final episode coming soon, FBI season 7 will have a new character in the form of Syd (Lisette Olivera), introduced in the wake of her exit. While nothing is known about the newcomer, it’s possible the premiere episode will also set the stage for her arrival, given how often procedural series fill roles with new characters after a legacy cast member exits. As for Tiffany, it seems like her story will be given a quick conclusion, which might not fully reflect the years of service she’s given to the team in her role.

Our Take On How Tiffany Might Exit FBI Season 7

We Wish She Was Around For Longer

Tiffany’s exit feels like a sudden change for the team’s makeup, especially given how important she was in stopping Hakim at the end of season 6. While it’s unclear just how much killing him is going to impact her decision to leave, FBI won’t feel the same without her around. The show losing her in the season 7 premiere may open the door for new characters like Syd, but it also closes off a potentially interesting follow-up to her close encounter with death at the end of season 6.
