The veteran newswoman learns something new when she visits the Vancouver set of the Focus Features movie
Wonder if Natalie Morales ever ran into this situation when she was going to journalism school?
While visiting the Vancouver set of the highly-anticipated Focus Features movie “Fifty Shades of Grey”, the “Today” show news anchor found out a new term from stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. When she uncomfortably asked the stars of the movie based on the hit E.L. James novel — she’s admitted that she read the entire “Fifty Shades” series — about how they stay “in the zone” while shooting the sex scenes, Johnson joked that Dornan had a “fluffer.”

Marshaling all her training, Morales asked what a “fluffer” was, and Dornan tried to explain in as morning-friendly a way as possible. He shouldn’t have bothered, because as soon as the word “fluffer” came out of Johnson’s mouth, the clip was doomed to be a web extra. But what a web extra it is.
Johnson concludes the clip by jokingly expressing surprise that there were any sexual scenes in the film at all. Luckily, Morales didn’t ask any follow-up questions after that.
