‘Fire Country’ Fans Will Be Stunned by CBS’ Shocking Streaming News Ahead of Season 3
Season 1 of the hit drama will be streaming on Netflix starting August 1!
It’s time to dial 9-1-1, Fire Country fans, because the show is dropping a bombshell we didn’t see coming.
Ahead of the CBS drama’s season 3 premiere on television on October 18, the show is also available for viewers to stream online. While Fire Country primarily airs Friday nights on CBS, viewers can catch up or rewatch the latest episode on Paramount+.
Well, thanks to an announcement from Variety on July 16, it looks like Paramount+ will no longer be the only place Fire Country will be available to stream. According to the outlet, fans will have the opportunity to watch season 1 of the procedural drama on Netflix starting August 1, 2024.
While the news of Fire Country landing on Netflix is thrilling, it turns out there is also a good reason for the streaming expansion.
According to a report from Deadline, CBS’ parent company Paramount Global is open to making non-exclusive deals that allow some of its television shows to be seen on other streaming platforms outside of Paramount+. What’s more, the studio’s collaboration with Netflix actually started back in September 2020, when CBS shows like Evil dropped on the streamer as a way to gain new audiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“You’re exposing the show to that many more people, so potentially some of those people are new viewers,” said CBS President David Stapf in a separate interview with the outlet about the partnership. “Then they, in turn, go back to watch previous seasons or future seasons.”
It’s also important to note that Fire Country isn’t the only CBS series that’s going to live on Netflix. Back in May 2023, Shemar Moore announced S.W.A.T. would be available to stream on Netflix, and it quickly took the #1 spot in TV shows the week it began streaming on the site.
Well, looks like we have some catching up to do before Fire Country season 3!
