Something major is happening in the town of Edgewater… and it’s coming by way of a major singing sensation taking on a brand-new role.
The hit CBS drama Fire Country is well known for infusing a bit of country music into its soundtrack with every episode airing on Friday nights. Well, it looks like that genre of music is spilling into the world of acting, as the show revealed singer Jelly Roll will make his acting debut in a season 3 episode that’ll air on Friday, April 11, 2025. Posting the exciting news on Instagram, series star and co-creator Max Thieriot (who plays Bode Leone) was on hand to welcome the CMT Music Award winner into the Fire Country family.
“Country music superstar Jelly Roll is making his acting debut on Fire Country,” Max excitedly shared in a video clip posted on YouTube on January 31.
“From the stage to the fire line, it’s time to see if I can keep up,” Jelly Roll added.
When TV viewers and country music lovers learned about Jelly Roll guest starring on an upcoming installment of Fire Country, it immediately caused an excited stir online.
“I love this show and adding Jelly Roll makes it even better!! How awesome!!” one person wrote on Instagram. “Omg can’t wait! Let’s go 🔥🔥🔥,” another declared. “Oh wordddd I can’t wait love Jelly Roll now he’s on my favorite show ❤️,” a different follower added.
While Jelly Roll has appeared on shows like American Idol and Tulsa King, those were times where he portrayed himself. According to Billboard, he will be playing a fictional character in Fire Country, making it a first time moment in his career.
As for how Jelly Roll will be folded into Fire Country, he is set to portray a hospital orderly named Noah. And while details on how his character will play into the show are under wraps, Max clearly was into the prospect of the singer being part of the show.
“Look who’s coming to Edgewater! Can’t wait for y’all to meet ‘Noah!'” he wrote on his Instagram story on February 1. “@jellyroll615 you inspire me, brother! Thanks for sharing your talent and joy 🙏.”
Well, if Max is already excited, we can’t wait to see what Jelly Roll brings to the table!
