Fire Country’ Renewed for Season 4 on CBS

The heat goes on! On Feb. 20, CBS announced that it had renewed the hit firefighter drama Fire Country for Season 4.

The action-packed primetime soap opera is currently in its third season under showrunner Tia Napolitano. The series stars Max Thieriot—who also created the show with Tony Phelan and Joan Rater—as Bode Leone, an ex-con seeking redemption through firefighting in his Northern California hometown. In the first two seasons, he was serving his sentence in Cal Fire’s inmate firefighter program (which is a real thing, and inmate firefighters are helping with firefighting efforts in Los Angeles). In Season 3, he is free, and working with his family and friends as a firefighter at Edgewater’s Station 42 while navigating complications in his personal life.

There are two spinoffs in the works: Sheriff Country, starring Morena Baccarin as local sheriff Mickey Fox, which is slated to premiere this fall alongside Fire Country Season 4; and an as-yet-untitled series starring Jared Padalecki as Camden Casey, a Southern California firefighter who was introduced in Season 3. That series has not been officially ordered and is still in development.

Here’s what we know so far about Fire Country Season 4.

What is Fire Country Season 4 about?

We’re only about halfway through Fire Country Season 3, so it’s too early to say what will happen in Season 4. But there are two things you can always expect from Fire Country: Thrilling firefighting action setpieces and emotional character-driven drama.

Who is in the Fire Country cast for Season 4?

While Fire Country‘s Season 4 cast has not been officially confirmed, it is likely that the series regulars will return. The main Fire Country cast includes:

Max Thieriot as Bode Leone

A formerly incarcerated man who is trying to rebuild his life while working as a firefighter in his hometown. Bode always tries to do the right thing, but he doesn’t always go about it the right way.
