Fire Country Season 2’s Major Twist Sets Up A Big Gabriela Dilemma
Bode’s predicament in Fire Country season 2, episode 4’s ending is set to create big doubts for Gabriela, especially considering with whom he shared the unfortunate ride. While Fire Country season 1 established Bode and Gabriela’s strong bond with Gabriela willing to wait for the end of his sentence so they could be together, Bode shut her out in such a way that she was set on building a new life for herself in Fire Country season 2. Gabriela wanted nothing to do with Bode in the new season’s premiere, being in love with Diego and focused on her certification.
Bode seemingly respected Gabriela’s choices in Fire Country season 2, especially considering the responsibilities he bore for her reaction, as it was his ignoring the letters she sent to him that convinced Gabriela to move on. Learning about Genevieve also gave him a new objective, focusing on becoming a better man so that he could be worthy of getting to know his daughter, making it easier to ignore his lingering feelings for Gabriela. However, Bode’s chemical fire incident wounds prompted his love confession, and Fire Country season 2, episode 4’s ambulance accident can only complicate things even more for Gabriela.
Fire Country’s Ambulance Accident Forces Gabriela To Face Her Feelings For Diego & Bode
Being surrounded by Diego’s big family, along with her focus on her new certification and wedding planning, kept Gabriela busy, contributing to putting any thought of Bode to the back of her mind, especially as he effectively erased himself from her life. Focusing on the future life she wanted to build with Diego didn’t let Gabriela have doubts. However, their fight in Fire Country season 2, episode 4 highlighted how Gabriela and Diego might not want the same things, and his opposition to her hesitancy over whether or not to work at his firehouse might push Gabriela away even more.
The ambulance crash at Fire Country season 2, episode 4’s end complicates things for Gabriela. With Diego being in charge of driving the ambulance Bode was on, Gabriela can be just as worried for Diego’s well-being as Bode’s, and feeling the same way makes it impossible for her to ignore she hasn’t moved on from Bode. This negates everything she told herself to suffer less from Bode shutting her out, and with Diego and Bode’s lives potentially in danger, Gabriela will have to decide whether to go through with her wedding with Diego despite her feelings for Bode or not.
Forgetting Bode As Gabriela Wishes In Fire Country Season 2 Might Be Difficult
His return to Three Rock made Gabriela ignoring Bode in Fire Country season 2 impossible, even just for the sake of working together during calls. While Gabriela insisted she was focused on her future with Diego during her speech in Fire Country season 2, episode 3, she might change her mind after Bode blurted out his feelings, having almost died in the chemical fire explosion. Ignoring her feelings for Bode is made more difficult by his repeatedly saving her and supporting her choices, unlike Diego, who should have supported her, but opposes her wishes to work away from him.
Bode telling Gabriela he loved her also involved Diego in the discussion, as he overheard his confession, which updated all those present on Bode still not having moved on from his and Gabriela’s past relationship. Similarly, Gabriela’s reaction to Bode letting her believe he had fallen in love with someone else showed she tricked herself into believing she had moved on, without actually doing so. This opens the way for the ambulance crash endangering Bode and Diego’s lives to finally make Gabriela realize she cannot continue hiding her true feelings for Bode in Fire Country season 2.
