First trailer for Yellowstone star Kevin Costner’s new movie
We’ve finally got the first trailer for Yellowstone star Kevin Costner’s epic new movie Horizon: An American Saga.
The new two-part movie spans the four years of the Civil War from 1861 to 1865, exploring the conflict through the lens of the families, friends and foes who are all attempting to discover what it truly means to be the United States of America.
We’re still waiting for a UK release date for Horizon: An American Saga, but we know that Chapter 1 will be released on June 28 in the US, followed by Chapter 2 on August 16.
We knew the first trailer for Horizon: An American Saga was arriving today after a teaser clip was released yesterday (February 25) on Twitter.
The full trailer showed more of the impressive cast we can expect to see in the two new movies with Stranger Things star Jamie Campbell Bower, Dickinson’s Ella Hunt, Luke Wilson and Sienna Miller among the cast.
Costner will be not only be starring in the movie but will also take on the role of director for the first time in 20 years.
He is currently starring in American drama series Yellowstone, which recently aired part one of its fifth season, but left the series due to scheduling conflicts with Horizon.
The series follows the Dutton family, owners of the largest ranch in Montana. The cast includes Kevin Costner (as patriarch John), Kelly Reilly (as daughter Beth), Wes Bentley (as son Jamie), Luke Grimes (as son Kayce), Cole Hauser (as ranch foreman Rip Wheeler) and Gil Birmingham (as Chief Thomas Rainwater).
It was announced that the series will conclude after the release of season 5, part 2.
