Since moving to ABC three years ago, 9-1-1 has been on a winning streak, consistently delivering strong ratings in its Thursday 8 p.m. ET slot. But the show’s success isn’t confined to traditional TV anymore—fans are also streaming the series in droves, particularly on Disney+ and Hulu.
According to FlixPatrol, 9-1-1 has quickly climbed into the top five on both platforms, holding its ground against streaming heavyweights like High Potential and Grey’s Anatomy.

The series chronicles the high-stakes lives of first responders at Station 113 in Los Angeles, offering a thrilling glimpse into people who literally run toward danger while the rest of the world runs away.
Season 9 was particularly monumental, marking the first time the station operated without its respected captain, Bobby Nash (Peter Krause). Bobby’s shocking death in Season 8—succumbing to a toxic substance while on a rescue mission—was the first major character loss in the show’s history, and Season 9 delves deeply into the aftermath.
“9-1-1 Season 9 Will Return Next Year With Exciting Crossover Plans”
Fans of 9-1-1 have reason to mark their calendars: the hit procedural will return next year, with its new spin-off, 9-1-1: Nashville, joining the fray. Both shows are currently on break, but the midseason premiere is already set for January 8, keeping the series in its familiar time slot.
Even more exciting, the franchise is gearing up for a crossover event that promises to bring the worlds of both series closer than ever. In a recent interview, 9-1-1: Nashville showrunner Rashad Raisani teased a “more muscular crossover,” hinting that key characters from the original series will appear in person.
“We’re still figuring out literally [which characters are crossing over], as of today, if it’s going to be a couple or if it’s going to be many, and if it’s going to be more of a personal adventure or a professional one,” Raisani explained. “But we will do a more true crossover this season in the back half.”
