There’s a new firefighter in town. Fire Country Season 3 will be bringing some new faces to Edgewater, and one of those might even spawn a new spinoff. But who will Jared Padalecki be playing in Fire Country Season 3?

Who Does Jared Padalecki Play in Fire Country Season 3?
Jared Padalecki is set for a three-episode arc as Camden, a SoCal firefighter, and maverick who will immediately see the potential in Bode (Max Thieriot). “We’re so excited,” executive producer Tia Napolitano told TV Insider. “The part was written for Jared, very specifically. Jared and Max are buddies, so that helped.”

The second season of Fire Country ended with Bode finally out of jail – part of his sentence was condoned for saving his father Vince. It’s a new world out there for the character, who has spent two seasons at Three Rock fire camp, but the only thing Bode seems sure of is that whatever he wants to do next, he wants it to include firefighting. And it sounds like Camden might play a part in that journey for Bode.

“Everyone in Bode’s life before Camden hits the scene is sort of trying to tame a tiger when it comes to Bode to make sure he works the program so he can get out,” Napolitano teased. “Camden is more Bode than anyone else on our show. I think they’re twin flames and similar and Camden’s able to encourage, draw out maybe the dangerous side of Bode, but he sees the talent and leans into it. He doesn’t try to put lightning back into the bottle.”

So how will people react to what is basically Bode’s new career path, particularly now that he’s got someone to support him?

“It’s an interesting space where people have their opinions about how Bode should go about firefighting, but again, he’s not incarcerated anymore, so how much say does anybody really have over a grown man pursuing what he wants to pursue?” points out Napolitano. “So we’ll have to see.”

Fire Country is CBS’ drama series centered on Bode Donovan, a young convict with a troubled past, who volunteers for the California Conservation Camp Program, in which inmates assist with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, otherwise known as Cal Fire. Bode is assigned to his hometown of Edgewater, where he must work alongside other inmates to fight the wildfires that plague the region, all while being unable to avoid his family, former friends, and the life he thought he’d left behind.

The show stars Max Thieriot (Bode Donovan); Kevin Alejandro (Manny Perez); Jordan Calloway (Jake Crawford); Stephanie Arcila (Gabriela Perez); Jules Latimer (Eve Edwards); Diane Farr (Sharon Leone); and Billy Burke (Vince Leone).
