SEAL Team is coming to an end with season 7, and David Boreanaz already has his next television show lined up, continuing one of the actor’s most impressive career trends. The CBS/Paramount+ military drama, created by Benjamin Cavell, debuted in September 2017, six months following the series finale of Bones. SEAL Team revolves around one of the most elite units of the Navy SEALs — Bravo Team, a sub-unit of the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group — and Boreanaz stars as the team’s leader, Jason Hayes.
The military drama ran for four and a half seasons on CBS before moving to Paramount+ for its remaining episodes. Season 5’s first four episodes debuted on CBS before SEAL Team made the transition to streaming, where it was renewed for two more seasons and canceled, with its seventh season being its last. The cast of SEAL Team has finished filming season 7, meaning that Boreanaz is free to work on other projects, including a series that apparently has him watching a lot of The Sopranos.
David Boreanaz’s Next Show After SEAL Team Being Different Follows His Career Pattern
All Of Boreanaz’s Shows Are Very Different From One Another
Boreanaz’s four previous starring television roles have all contrasted, and this trend will continue with his next one. After playing Angel, a vampire, in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, Boreanaz moved on to Bones, which featured him as an FBI agent. Following Bones‘ conclusion, the actor signed on to star as a Navy SEAL in SEAL Team. None of his roles or television shows have been comparable to one another, and the pattern carries on with Boreanaz’s new show which is the opposite of SEAL Team.
