The ninth episode of Chicago Med season 11 features a few familiar faces appearing in guest roles!
The ninth episode of Chicago Med is certain to have fans attempting to put names to a few notable faces appearing in the episode, as season 11, episode 9 features a pair of notable guest stars!
Joining the cast in season 11 is actor Mike Pniewski, a prominent television actor, who joined the One Chicago franchise in the role of Hannah Asher’s father, Mark Asher. While Hannah has mentioned her father in the past, we’ve never officially met him on screen until season 11 and Chicago Med cast an amazing actor to play the character. Pniewski played brilliantly off of both Jessy Schram and Steven Weber.
Pniewski is one of those actors who hasn’t quite had a breakout role in the sense of remaining on a series as a series regular, but he’s made a career through his many impactful recurring and guest spots on several hit shows. In fact, he’s actually a member of the cast of Netflix’s newest hit series, His & Hers which is quickly gaining attention among viewers following its release on January 8.
You might also recognize Pniewski from some of his many roles on shows such as Hightown, Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, The Good Fight, Blue Bloods, Ozark, The Resident, Quantico, Longmire, NCIS: New Orleans, Halt and Catch Fire, The Game, Nashville, and Army Wives. He’s also no stranger to the Wolf Entertainment family of shows having previously appeared on FBI: Most Wanted, Law & Order: Organized Crime, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU, and Law & Order. This makes Chicago Med the latest in a long list of collaborations between Pniewski and Wolf Entertainment series.
The other most notable guest star in the episode is actor Justin Prentice who joined the cast as Ian Walcott, a former co-star from Dr. Frost’s acting days. Prentice is best known for playing Bryce Walker in the Netflix drama 13 Reasons Why and for costarring alongside Reba McEntire in the comedy Malibu Country as her character’s son, Cash Gallagher. Prentice’s other credits include Draft Night, Awkward, iZombie, The Mindy Project, Castle, and Glee.
The episode also guest stars Dan Thompson as Sebastian Hendricks, a young patient who comes into the ED after being involved in a car accident that injured a pregnant woman. You might recognize Thompson from some of his guest roles which include spots on FBI: Most Wanted, Life & Beth, and The Republic of Sarah.
Also back were some familiar guest stars including Hampton Fluker as Michael Goodwin, Gbenga Akinnagbe as David Goodwin, and Nicolette Robinson as Tara Goodwin.
