Fran Drescher Transforms into ‘The Nanny’ in Over-the-Top Look in Italy
The fashion icon, 67, took a page out of her iconic character’s book to hit the Filming Italy 2025 red carpet. Check out her stunning outfit!
From Flushing, Queens to Santa Margherita di Pula, Italy! Fran Drescher, 67, walked the red carpet at Filming Italy 2025 on Thursday, June 19, and the ageless beauty’s striking look was straight out of Fran Fine’s closet.
This sexy ’90s-inspired ensemble featured a Dolce and Gabbana Majolica print bodycon corset dress in a magenta and white print paired with a matching cropped jacket cut at the natural waist. The oversized cuffs and collar were classic, and the entire look was completed with matching heels and a white handbag. The Nanny star wore her natural curls down, showing off her signature V-shaped crown.
Drescher is no stranger to Dolce and Gabbana. In fact, many of her iconic outfits on The Nanny came from the iconic designer. “It was a mutually beneficial relationship because they provided their designs to us and we took them global,” Drescher told Today in July 2018 about how her character acquired such a lavish wardrobe.
“It was really, really cool and to this day, I’m still very supportive of the designers,” she said, which included Moschino and Todd Oldham.
Those designers are still responsible for many of her red carpet looks today. While attending the Golden Globes on January 5, 2025, Drescher posted a video blowing a kiss to the camera and shouting out the designers’ names in the caption. “Coming to the Golden Globes! All Dolce & Gabbana,” she wrote. “Thank you A-Team. You did it!”
