“Fuller House” is getting a bit more crowded.
Ashley Liao, who plays Lola on the Netflix series, has been promoted to a series regular for season two, Variety has learned.
Liao appeared in six of the thirteen episodes in the first season, which is currently streaming. Her character Lola is Ramona Gibbler’s (Soni Bringas) best friend from school who also becomes an immediate crush for Jackson Fuller (Michael Campion).
As for other new characters on the second season of Netflix’s “Full House” spinoff, Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) will be getting a love interest, though her boyfriend has yet to be cast.
Sweetin stars alongside original “Full House” cast members Cameron Cameron-Bure and Andrea Barber as the core three cast members. Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin all appeared in the first season. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played Michelle Tanner on the original family sitcom, did not show up for “Fuller House,” but creator Jeff Franklin says the twins’ return is a possibility for the upcoming season, though nothing is currently in the works.
“Fuller House” launched this February and was renewed for its second season just days after it debuted. No premiere date has been set.
