Gemma Collins eyes up Clarkson’s Farm in new move – ‘I won’t be opening up Diddly Squat’

EXCLUSIVE: Gemma Collins opened up about a potential side gig as the TV personality shut down following in Jeremy Clarkson’s footsteps.

Gemma Collins addressed having a farm of her own one day but admitted she would only make the move “when the times right”. The former Only Way Is Essex star, 40, said she had no immediate plans to run a farm like Jeremy Clarkson, 64, despite having a passion for animals, but joked she’s “not that old yet”.

Gemma, otherwise known as The GC, still has her eyes set on Hollywood but shared farm life may be the next step in 20 years.

The on-screen star recently relocated to a sprawling home in Essex after gushing she’d finally bought her “dream” house in 2021 – a vast five-bedroom property converted from a barn, complete with around an acre of land and four en suite bathrooms.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star said she loves to spend her downtime at home with her chickens, dogs and family cat but has no immediate plans to open a Diddly Squat Farm Shop.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, addressing plans of turning to farming, she commented: “When the times right. I’m not that old yet.”

She continued: “Maybe in about 20 years time. I’m thinking more Hollywood. If I’m going to do work, I’m going to do exciting stuff. I love animals, it’s my passion but it’s more of a hobby and my private life.

“I won’t be opening up a Diddly Squat tomorrow, no. Not just yet.”

While Gemma doesn’t doubt fans would tune into her working on a farm, similar to Jeremy’s successful Clarkson’s Farm offering, the former TOWIE star recently took on an unexpected side gig – being a bingo caller.

The reality star surprised bingo goers with a special appearance, demonstrating her number skills to the crowd as part of celebrations for National Bingo Week (24th – 30th June) – with National Bingo Day on June 27.

Local club regulars were surprised to see The GC take to the mic and call out the numbers to reward winners on the big night.

Gemma is now urging the public to get involved in National Bingo Week.

Speaking about the event, she said: “Bingo is so much fun. It is so underestimated. It is like the biggest, best night out ever. It’s fun and harmless and you get to win money if you’re lucky.

“But it’s just a laugh a minute. Years ago, it would be your nan’s gone to bingo whereas now so many people can enjoy it, of all ages, all backgrounds and it just brings you all together for a fun night out.”

Bingo clubs around the country will be running special bingo sessions and offers throughout the week in honour of National Bingo Day. Bingo players who introduce a friend to bingo during National Bingo Week will receive £10 in discount offers at that venue. Local T&C’s apply.
