General Hospital Recap April 16: Laura Unleashes a Fierce Verbal Attack on Drew

It’s always a good day in Port Charles when someone tells Drew Cain off. After all, he is now the most hated man in town. He is also reviled by the audience. Seeing this verbal beating come from Laura was especially satisfying because she is always so diplomatic in her mayoral duties. If Laura can crack, that means things must be bad. However, whenever Laura does crack and let loose, she does it better than anyone else in town. Telling Drew that he cared more about a vendetta against his own brother than his constituents was absolutely spot on and set up a new rivalry in town. Now, Drew is determined to ruin Laura’s mayoral career while also wanting Ezra Boyle to run and become his lapdog. He will get Ezra elected and oust poor Laura if Ezra agrees to always do as Drew demands. Drew’s wild, maniacal eyes as he relished the idea of bringing Laura down were just one more thing to solidify in our minds that this man is either not Drew Cain at all or a whole other Drew Cain who was transformed after his prison beating a year and a half ago. We’re sure there will be many more battles to come between Laura and Drew, and Laura will beat Drew in the war of words every time. However, the battle we really want to see is the eventual one between Drew and Willow.
