‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that many fans are hoping either Kimberly McCollough reprises her role as Robin Scorpio Drake or the soap recasts.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Anna Is Trapped In a Mental Institution Right Now
Right now, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has been placed in a mental institution. However, we all know there is nothing wrong with Anna mentally, except for the fact that she’s been tortured relentlessly for months.
If bada** superspy says that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) is alive, we believe her. After all, his children, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nathan West (Ryan Paevy), have miraculously come back from the dead, so why not Faison?
It makes perfect sense. Not to mention, why is everyone acting like Anna is suddenly crazy for believing that someone else has risen from the grave? It’s actually a bit ridiculous to label and write off Anna as unhinged.
At least Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) have the good sense to know that Anna would never have a break with reality.
Yes, she’s been gaslighted and tortured for months at Wyndemere, but fortitude is Anna’s middle name. She doesn’t buckle under pressure. Anna needs more people in her corner, and Robin would fit the bill.
It’s almost impossible to imagine that Mac and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) would simply accept what these quacks at the French clinic told them. Additionally, those so-called doctors are likely in on the con.
With everything going on with Anna, it only seems natural that her daughter, Robin, would want to go to Paris to check on her.
Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner) is headed to California to visit her mom and give her updates on Anna’s condition. We want to see that conversation, not simply hear about it off-screen.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Robin Should Be Around to Support Anna
Robin is a legacy character and should be around to support Anna. Interestingly, Mac Scorpio (John J. York), Robin’s uncle, had his own chat with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about Robin during the February 9th episode of GH.
He recalled when Robin dated Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and he attributed his many grey hairs to that relationship.
In yesterday’s episode, Emma shared the news with Gio Palmeri (Giovanni Mazza) that she had to leave Port Charles to visit Robin in California and tell Robin about her grandmother.
While McCollough has shifted her focus to directing, recasting her would be the logical next step. Poor Anna is being drugged up and controlled in a mental hospital.
However, some viewers have expressed that recasting Robin might be an insult to McCollough and the character.
After all, McCollough has played the role of Robin since she was a little girl. A recast of Robin may be controversial and not so easily accepted.
In an ideal world, McCollough would at least come back for a limited run while Anna’s storyline is being played out.
Besides, based on Anna’s firsthand testimony, Faison really could be alive, which would be a disaster for everyone in Port Charles. While it was said that Faison’s brain is in a jar, a soap is a soap.
People need to start believing her, or Port Charles may be in serious trouble. Frankly, it seems out of character for Robin not to have resurfaced in Port Charles by now while Anna is in danger. Robin’s presence on the show is needed now more than ever.
