General Hospital Star Steve Burton Laughs About Looking Like ‘a Cheeto in a Baggy Suit md13

We’ve all had a time or two when we wore something, makeup, clothes, whatever, and later saw photos and were like, “OMG, I looked like that?” If that hasn’t happen to you, well, props! However, if it has, or if it does in the future, the best thing you can do for yourself is to laugh it off. Just ask General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason).

While we didn’t think anything of it when he and his beautiful wife Michelle Lundstrom walked the red carpet, apparently Burton hadn’t been happy with his appearance or how he looked in the photos taken last Friday night at the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. It all started when the ABC soap fave posted a video with his wife that was captioned, “Note to self: Never, under any circumstances, get a spray tan or try on your suit on the day of the event. You’ll end up looking like a Cheeto in karate pants on the red carpet.”

In the video the couple laughed off the situation — literally — like true champs, as Burton stated, “We’re gonna do an Emmy recap for you right now.” Lundstrom then gave a little synopsis… “We had the best time… we laughed a lot. I told Steve he didn’t need a spray tan because he’s always regularly tan but we got really lucky that this year on the red carpet they used a really neon royal blue background, which made Steve look like an orange potato.” As Burton burst out laughing, his wife continued, “We can’t even use the Getty pictures, the professional photos this year.”

With the photo in question in the background, Burton added, “I know, I was trying to look like a candy corn. It’s like a Cheeto in a freaking baggy suit… like someone just took their uncle out of a home and brought him to the Emmys. Honestly, that’s what I felt like. I didn’t even know what was going on.” “We can tell,” Lundstrom playfully chimed in. “I’m sorry,” Burton replied. “Thank God I had my wife with me… look at her, amazing. And they’re like, ‘Who let this guy in?’”

Like we said, these two did it right — they laughed it off and in turn gave us a laugh as they did.
