Gibson opens up about Michael’s relationships and why he’s grateful for his scene partners.

General Hospital’s Rory Gibson has quickly made an impression on viewers with his portrayal of Michael Corinthos. In a recent interview, the actor offered insight into what fans might expect next for the legacy character’s love life.

Gibson recently sat down with Na’Vell Lee for Buzzworthy Radio, where the actor discussed a range of topics, including mental health and reflecting on his time as Noah Newman on The Young and the Restless following the character’s exit.

When asked about what lies ahead for Michael’s romantic future, Gibson was candid. “Honestly I’m not totally sure,” he told the outlet. “We kind of find these things out as we go.”

While Gibson didn’t reveal specific plot details, he expressed appreciation for his scene partners on the show. “All I know is that I’m open to anything and I feel very fortunate that I get to work with the ladies that I do on the show,” he said.

Reflecting on Michael’s current pairing with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell), “Paige has been just so good,” Gibson shared. “We have some scenes coming up that I think are really going to blow people away because they blew me away as I got to perform them with her.” The actor went on to add, “She’s just she’s kind of an unbelievable talent.”

However, Jacinda isn’t the only woman in Michael’s orbit, as Michael’s ex, Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) continues to be in his life. Gibson spoke very highly of MacMullen, sharing, “You know, all of my favorite scenes that I’ve done thus far have been the scenes that I’ve done with Katie.”

The actor revealed that the two have a unique bond and can get each other to a special place in scenes. “Me and her are just able to go to that place together,” Gibson explained. “I can’t explain why it works, it just does.”

Gibson considers himself lucky, sharing, “I feel very fortunate that I have these two people in my life and also as partners on the show that I get to work with.”

The actor may not know where the story is headed, but he is down for the journey, adding, “So, I don’t know where it’s going to go. I don’t know where it’ll take us. But as long as I get to keep working with both of them, I’m excited for the future.”
