Ahead of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2, CBS has released the first full trailer for its comeback, which reveals snippets of the fallout from Georgie and Ruben buying McAllister Auto & Tire when Jim retired. In the clip, Sheldon’s brother still calls the business the same name, adding that it’s under new management. That’s when his business partner steps in and asks what they should call it now that they own it.
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2 trailer’s reference to that effectively establishes that Georgie has always liked that name for his business. When Sheldon and Leonard first visited his shop in The Big Bang Theory, the Cooper family genius made a fuss about the name of the establishment, questioning his brother’s decision to claim himself as a doctor even after just “half a semester of community college.”
At this point in The Big Bang Theory timeline, Georgie is just about to enter his 20s. He has been a school dropout for a while now — a major source of conflict for him and George for a while. However, leaving high school and working full-time actually led to him working for Meemaw’s laundromat where he met Mandy. Aside from questions about Georgie’s full educational background, another thing to look out for is whether McAllister Auto & Tire will actually be Dr. Tire. The conversation between Georgie and Ruben about renaming their establishment doesn’t last very long in the new Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2 trailer. Chances are that while Mandy’s husband is enthusiastic about Dr. Tire, his business partner isn’t.
This means that there is still a good chance that Georgie’s suggestion will be vetoed, and that Dr. Tire will be an entirely different business from what he and Ruben have right now in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. How Dr. Tire Likely Came To Be In The Big Bang Theory Franchise
Right now, it seems like marrying to the McAllisters and working with Jim is Georgie’s straight path to building his tire empire that was seen in The Big Bang Theory. Buying his in-law’s business is a good foundation for that plotline, especially since he doesn’t have any other way to break through the industry before his marriage. That said, this is arguably too simple of a way for him to achieve his dreams.
So, it’s safe to assume that sometime along the way, Georgie will face new, and possibly harder, challenges that would lead to him to be the Texas tire king in The Big Bang Theory. For now, however, he’s partnered with Ruben in their risky business deal in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
