‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’ Returns for Season 2 — Here’s Everything to Know

It might be Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, but the Young Sheldon spinoff is heading into its second season. The CBS sitcom wrapped its freshman run in May 2025 and returns for Season 2 on October 16.

Season 1 ended with major life changes for the couple. Georgie Cooper (Montana Jordan) bought McAllister Auto & Tire from Mandy’s father, Jim (Will Sasso), while Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment) accepted a promotion that put her under the supervision of her ex-boyfriend, Scott (Christopher Gorham). Their new professional challenges — and the family chaos that comes with them — promise a mix of heartfelt drama and humor, continuing the legacy of The Big Bang Theory universe.

Season 2 Premiere

The new season debuts on October 16 with an episode titled “A Tie Breaker and a Huge Mistake.” The story follows Jim struggling to adjust to retirement, prompting Mandy to convince Georgie to bring him back to work.

How Many Episodes Are There?

CBS hasn’t confirmed the total number of episodes for Season 2. The first season featured 22 episodes, and in early 2025 the network renewed the show for another full slate alongside hits like Ghosts, Tracker, Elsbeth, and NCIS: Origins.

Executive producer Steve Holland teased that Georgie and Mandy’s new career moves are “big wins” that also “complicate their relationship,” making it harder for them to find time as a couple. Actor Christopher Gorham also confirmed via Instagram that Georgie and Scott will finally come face-to-face this season.
